We had a group of 6 for a Sunday lunch. Our server was thee absolute best. I think his name was Jeff? He hooked us up!!! Had the best cheesy bread (sorry no pic, it was gone too fast), my cousin even ordered one to go! Atmosphere 4 stars because it echos and can get noisy, but if there isn’t a lot of people in there, everyone that IS there can hear you . But overall we had a great experience and I’d go back to this location just to be waited on by that server.

So delicious! Best pizza I’ve ever had!! Never had Detroit style but I’m so glad I did! Highly recommend trying it!!!!! We enjoyed our server Kevin so much we went back a hour later to get dessert! Thank you Kevin for being one amazing server!

Came to this location for the first time and overall had a great experience. We had a party of 4 and were greeted promptly with no wait time for a table on a Saturday night around 6:15-6:30 PM. It took. Little longer to get drinks but it wasn’t an issue with us. Our server was friendly and even accommodated a special order I had requested for my entree. The food was delicious and service was superb. If you’re looking for some great deep dish pizza and drinks, look no further than Buddy’s Pizza in Troy!

We came here visiting with friends a few months ago, and we’re still thinking of how good the pizza and service was (and the time with friends, of course). It was our first time having fresh Detroit-style pizza (we’d had a bit of the frozen stuff before), and it did NOT disappoint. We will definitely be back to a Buddy’s next time we’re anywhere near the area.

I have gone to Buddy’s, occasionally for over 30 years. Usually I find their pizza to be good, but not great. People in the Detroit area rave about their pizza but there are several much better options around (Louie’s, Green Lantern, Cloverleaf, Sorrento’s). None the less, on this visit to the Troy location, we ordered an 8 slice square with pepperoni and a small antipasto. The salad was fresh and delicious. The pizza, however, was flat (maybe 1 inch thick), had very few pepperoni and was very dry. I could not believe how dry it was and overly crispy.

The detroit pizza and cheese sticks were good, our server was very nice and attentive and the place was clean. I would definitely come back if I’m around the area. We had the option to pay via QR code which was nice as we didn’t need to wait for the server to be back with the machine.

I have to admit I’m a big fan of Buddy’s Pizza. This newer location just off Crooks Rd N. Of Big Beaver tucked off on the East Side of Crooks in a small stri center is fairly new. The decor is definitely Buddy’s old school with a neon Buddy’s Rendezvous sign when you walk in. The staff was right on the mark! My server Heather could not have been friendlier or more attentive. She took the time to teach me the difference between “old school pepperoni”, which has the pepperoni on top and curls, bringing out the spice and regular pepperoni, which is tucked under the cheese. A pleasant solo night! Than You!
