Great ingredients make great food. Based on an authentic approach to Italian cuisine, Serafina goes the extra mile (literally!) to source the very best ingredients from around the world.
Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato were already good friends when they became unexpectedly lost at sea. Stranded in a small boat, exposed to the elements, and without any food, they daydreamed of the perfect pizza. To strengthen their hopes of surviving, both promised that they would open a restaurant together serving the best Italian pizza and pasta in the world. Vittorio and Fabio were saved, and they honored their promise to each other by launching the highly acclaimed Serafina in New York City.
Thin-crust pizza & homemade pasta headline the menu at this tri-level space with exposed brick. Based on 984 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $$

Great dining experience and a really cozy atmosphere. We got a table at the rooftop and even though the view was quite okay I must admit that the indoor seating areas looked quite cozy too. The staff was kind and good at checking up on us, without being too much. Could definitely visit again the next time I’m in New York.

We went for dinner here last Tuesday and the ambiance of the restaurant was very good. The food is okay. We like the meatballs but the pizza is kinda burned . The host was nice but one of the servers was giving us an attitude, the way she talked to us was not good . The service just needs to be improved.

We picked this place due to celiac food restrictions. It was the closest to the 9/11 memorial.

Great location. We sat on the rooftop which was very pretty. Service was fast and efficient. We tried a special for the night which was amazing. I had the penne vodka which was great and tasted authentic. I also had a glass of prosseco which was also great.

Went for lunch here for the first time.. Food was, IMO, below average. We ordered Paglia e Fieno pasta and a VIP Margarita pizza. The pasta looked like a blob of green and yellow mess . The pizza was too unappetizing with uncooked cheese. After one bite, I sent it back in exchange for a regular Margarita pizza. Not the second one tasted any better ( still tasted like the ones that you get in a school cafeteria). The crust was flat, dry and the sauce was too sour. The restaurant has the right oven to cook a decent pizza. They just need to get the right pizza guy that knows how to make a decent one…. I was surprised at the number of good reviews from Google for this restaurant…. Yelp reviews gave three stars for this restaurant and they were right. Service was very good.

Classic Italian cafe / restaurant in Tribeca, one of serafinas many locations. What’s good about these restaurants is you know what you’re gonna get! The Brussel salad is super good. Service was great, big restaurant. Good for work lunches or dinners.

Quite a large place. They have outdoor options, inside, and a second floor that can host a larger party; they had a company party up there when I went. There are several around the city, but the one on Broadway had excellent service, and the drinks were great – I got the Serafina Champagne cocktail. I ordered a braised rib tagliatelle from their daily special menu which was amazing! Honestly, I struggled to order because everything looked so good. I’ll be back.

Really wanted gluten free pasta my last night in NYC, they didn’t disappoint! The lobster spaghetti was very tasty and the beet salad too! Needed to eat somewhat healthier last night here! Sat at the bar and the bar tender and staff were really nice too!

Expected better from this high-end Italian chain. Food was generally good (if in-stock), but the environment/ambiance was a let down.
