Restaurateur Matteo Ferdinandi interjects a new story into the Las Vegas dining scene, based on memories of his childhood spent in Italy with friend (and restaurant partner) Chef Angelo Auriana. We have a lunch with friends here. Nice place, food was good (except my pesto pasta, it hasn’t any taste) and the water was friendly BUT everything was toooo slow! there were 5 tables in a big restaurant and we waited too long to have a starter than a lot of time to get a main course. Maybe for dinner it’s ok, but for lunch you have limited time

The food here is so fresh. You can actually see the chef rolling out the pasta. Everything is light and full of flavor. Exactly as I would expect in Italy. The location is a bit hard to find but worth it. The food was so good I went back a second day.

Very slow service when we came. The best part of the meal was the appetizer. It was a bread with cheese and a squash blossom. My lobster was uneatable. I gave up after eating a little. It was really tough. The pasta was nothing special. Cant justify the cost for the quality here. Wont be visiting this place again in the future.

Pasta is made fresh in-house. Impeccable food. Friendly, professional service (the wonderful Adriano from Firenze). Unforgettable dining experience. The pesto handkerchief pasta had a buttery feel and melted in my mouth. Flawless salmon steak atop delicately-presented vegetables in a delicious sauce and sumptuous, perfectly cooked, moist half-chicken rounded out our meal. We want to live in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Matteo’s at The Venetian in Las Vegas. Although the menu has changed slightly, the food was still top-notch quality. I had the “Handkerchief Pasta” which had been previously on the menu as “Mandili di Seta”. I’m not sure why they changed the name, but it was still the best pasta bathed in pesto that I’ve ever had! My husband ordered the “Gnocchi” which came in a flavorful braised lamb ragu. We tried a cocktail, the “pere ubu” which was OK, nothing overly special. We ordered the “Lingurian Foccacina” to share, which also had an ingredients change now with squash blossoms instead of the arugula topping. To be honest, I liked the previous version with the arugula topping much better. The cheese was also more pungent and the flatbread much softer. Again, some things should not be changed, but this is just my opinion. The servers were attentive, and overall, the experience was good. This is upscale dining, so be ready to dish out a fair amount for dinner. I still recommend it.

EDITH our server went above and beyond in taking care of our dinner experience. She immediately asked us our drink and appetizer order when we uttered we were starving. Literally in a flash water and cocktails and salad showed up like it’s party time! The other staffs are also professional and efficient. We were recommended best sellers and had the topnotch choices from sangria, pork belly, signature salad, handkerchief pasta, pistachios dessert, tiramisu and coffee etc. We left the place with happy face and definitely will promise to return soon. Go ask for EDith! She’s amazing!

Great tasting Italian restaurant. I tried the calamarta – love the variety of seafood with a hint of a spicy. Pasta was al dente. I thought the Brussels sprout was okay – wish it was caramelized or salted because it just tasted bland. Otherwise, the staff was very professional, and the service was top tier.
