It has been many years since I’ve been back to the Rustic Hut. The inside have not changed since I was able to first go in the ( only the carpet on the ceiling) establishment . Back in the day it was a great stop for a refreshment between Hamilton and Missoula and there was a lot of fun to be had on the weekends back then. Give it a try you my enjoy it

Wow, Those who wrote 5 star reviews were relatives or got a different meal that we did. We attended the 5o Mile Bitterroot Yard Sale and saw the sign for Friday Prime Rib. We got there at 4:30 and the server said they did not serve it till 5 and we decided to wait. She said the Prime Rib was at least 12 oz. So we decided to split one. What she didn’t say was that 9 oz. was grizzle and fat. It was so tough, we could not cut it with our steak knifes. And there was a hair in the horseradish! When we told the waitress we could not cut the meat it was so tough, she said “Yeah, the cook wondered if that might happen when he saw how much grizzle was on it!” No sorry folks, or how about we cut $10 off your $40 price of the prime rib, or anything. We left her a tip and paid the bill in full, but we will NEVER EVER EVER go back there or recommend it to visitors.

We ordered 2 Prime Rib dinners which were $35 a piece so my hubby picked up and brought to the house. I was not happy about the price…it’s a bar in Florence not The Depot in Missoula. PR was very over cooked and very fatty. The baked potato had been in the steamer drawer way too long and very small. The salad was pitiful…mostly iceberg, a few shreds of cheese and too not ripe cherry tomatoes.

i wanted something simple as i was exploring the area. so i ordered a pizza that had a medium crust in the texture and flavor of a thin crust. “HolyMacroorganisms Batman”, by far, is the best pizza (inhouse recipe) i have encountered in 40 years comparable to pappa Pesaros pizza near Westmont Illinois.
