We got a spread: quesadilla, chips and guacamole, Chile relleno combo plate, horchata, and churro bites. It was about $60 for two people which feels a little expensive for counter service. That being said the people behind the counter were extremely polite and friendly. The food took about 10 minutes. I would say the food was average. Bigger portions for sure.

This place is a great little Mexican restaurant nestled by Montgomery Airport. From the outside, it is just a strip mall Mexican restaurant, but the food changes everything. They have the traditional food, but they also have some other great options. One option is the birria pizza, which will slay even the hungriest growing 15 year old boy. I am convinced it might be the key to world peace. The Rene burrito offers a little enchilada sauce on the inside, thus ensuring your burrito is so juicy that it will drip all over your shirt. It gets better with the seafood taco/burrito combos. This place doesn’t hand you a greasy lard fried…the food is made with purpose, and you will leave wondering where it has been all of your life.

This place is pretty good. Not the best, but not the worst either. Everything seems to be pretty fresh but the portions are smaller than most other San Diego Mexican restaurants. Haven’t had a bad meal in three different tries. The only warning is the beverages are unbelievably outrageously expensive, but the food is priced only a little above average. And I know it’s not their fault, but the parking lot is small and tight so it’s better to park on Sandrock on the north side of Aero drive.

I don’t understand such high rating / reviews for this place, it is misleading. This place has fallen to middle of the pack Mexican restaurant. Before raising the price multiple times, make efforts to raise the quality & service which is lacking. Passing down the cost to your customer base without anything to show for will not sit well with customers.

Not to bad. Prices are really good for the portion sizes (large). I ordered something very simple, quesadilla and BRC burrito and the ingredients were tasty and plentiful. They have good tortillas. There is a salsa bar, if you like spicy its for you. Good large spread out seating area. Wasnt to noisy or crowded feeling at lunchtime. It’s near the small airport and Rady Children’s Hospital making it an easy spot to grab food if you are waiting for someone or need to eat after a long day. They also do breakfast. Restaurant was clean, bathroom needed a little TLC and the staff was meh, but I’m willing to cut them slack, you never know if they just dealt with a Karen before I got there. Theres plenty of easy free parking. Overall, I’m full, and will return.
