When we tried to reserve table online, it showed no table available. I figured it must be something wrong. Sure enough when we showed up around 5:30pm on Saturday night, it had several tables available. Decor was nice. Food are great. Waiters are attentive. I gave it 95/100. For the price they charge I think they should have deveined the shrimps for the crispy walnut shrimps dish and should not have sand in the water spinach. I wasn’t too crazy about the Jiang Nan fry rice noodles. It was made with Chinese bacon/aged pork. Love the frog dish which has crispy rice in it. The cumin lamb was awesome. My husband loved the crispy tofu. They used red fermented bean curd instead of traditional fermented bean curd for the water spinach dish which gave it different flavor than I used to. But it was a bit sandy. Overall I am very happy with the food. Will come back.

Really good dining experience! Expect to pay a lot of money, but it’s worth a trip for a special occasion. The food comes out super fast and hot, which we were all pleasantly surprised by.

Not sure if our family ordered the wrong dishes but we found our meal at Jiang Nan to just be ok.

We loved it!! The peking duck was fantastic. Super thin crepes, perfect ratio of fat to duck to skin, and super moist. The stripped bass was amazing but a little hard to find in the sea of sauce. The pork belly was thinly sliced and cold and not my favorite. Sautéed water spinach was A+ as well. Pineapple beer in a barrel was a fun exploration for the table. Would go back!

When I heard only locals go to this restaurant, I knew I had to take the family. Absolutely the best Peking Duck in Chinatown! We went for lunch today and it was sticky hot. On a whim, I tried the yogurt beer. It is hard to describe. Best I can say is that it was softly sweet and very refreshing. Definitely for a hot summer day.

Here it is folks, the best Peking Duck we’ve had so far after trying a few places in Manhattan, NYC. The service is wonderful and the ambience is eye catching enough. The Peking Duck however is the highlight of this establishment and for good reason. We previously went to Buddakan in Chelsea the night before and ordered most of the items including the Peking Duck and it wasn’t even a FRACTION as GOOD as the duck here at Jiang Nan and half the price. I am not a big soup fan however I brought my parents and they absolutely loved the duck bone soup which came at a small $15 additional cost. The Xiao Long Bao was ok definitely better than others I’ve tried so far in Manhattan, but I will reiterate that the Peking Duck definitely more than made up for it and definitely redeemed NYC’s Peking Duck scene for me. I can definitely see why it was Michelin guide recommended.

Some of the best peking duck I’ve ever had in the entire world, plus the service is wonderful and we were taken care of nicely despite it being our final day in NY and carrying a lot of baggage.
