We order take-out or delivery, that’s why I didn’t rate service or atmosphere, but we LOVE the food. When delivered, it always arrives hot. Tried a Food Network recommended and hyped-up Chinese restaurant in S.F. and was so disappointed. It did not compare to Lily Kai which is s-o-o-o much better! So, we will continue to eat Chinese food in Petaluma!

So this review is going to be highly, highly biased because Lily is a family friend of ours but you cannot ever go wrong with her food, ever. We’ve been eating her cuisine for over 20 years and she never disappoints. In fact, my family has spent several Christmas eves being fed by Lily and her crew. And her crew are the sweetest and kindest folks ever! Very attentive and good spirited, they always make us laugh. Living in Nashville, I’ve been hard pressed to find anything remotely similar to Lily’s where the food doesn’t feel like a grease ball on the way down. Her food is of the highest quality and freshest ingredients. I wish I could name my favorite go to dish..it could be the Honey Walnut Prawns but literally everything is on point. Please, please see Lily for all of your Chinese food needs!!

What’s happened,? Used to be very good, now just awful. Szechuan beef, greesy breaded fried, sweet. Not even a speck of spice. No vegetables? Maybe gave me someone else’s order. Literally made me sick. Giving it 2 stars because service was very friendly.

The BEST Chinese cuisine you can find in ALL of California. I grew up not being a fan of Chinese cuisine until my partner begged me to try Lily Kai’s, he and his family have been regulars ever since Lily Kai first opened in Petaluma. Ever since the first day I tried their food, I have become a regular as well. I absolutely LOVE their Szechuan noodles, chicken pot stickers, Wor wonton soup, Manchurian beef, and a must have is their crab cheese wontons (they are to die for). Highly suggest going here to anyone looking for great Chinese cuisine. Lily Kai’s is the best! On top of their food being wonderful their service and atmosphere are just as high tier. Such friendly people and a lovely inside and outside dining area. I often do take out but have dined in just as many times. Thank you so much to everyone on the Lily Kai staff, you are all sweet and kind people, I appreciate you all.
