You could tell this is a favorite by the locals – it got quiet when we walked in the place was PACKED with a line out the door when we left! Perhaps church let out. The food was good, not gourmet, more home cooking which was totally fine of course. We loved the hush puppies, onion rings and calabash shrimp for sure! Had chopped steak and prime rib. We had to add salt to the dishes but not bad. LOVED THE SALAD BAR! Really good variety of comfort food, flavorful, good portions too. Our waitress was AMAZING, really liked her.

Food is delicious and plentiful, service is excellent as is pricing. This was our second time there, and we’ll definitely return for more on future trips to the area. We had already started eating when I took these pictures so some food from each plate was already eaten. What you see in these pictures are broiled scallops, salt & pepper catfish sweet potato fries, flounder, oysters, onion rings and hush puppies. All perfectly cooked. Especially liked the scallops!

Everything was ok til it was time to pay. We put a $15 dollar tip on the table and they made us all pay a tip as we each paid individually for our food. After it was all said and done they got well over $40 bucks just in tips and over $200 for the food. NOT WORTH IT. I believe in tipping people for doing good but never have I been told I had to tip until yesterday they did. Never will I go back, food was to expensive and not that good. Just wanted to have a decent meal with my family to celebrate my dad’s birthday.

By far the worst restaurant in the county. Clam strips were good. Everything else was completely inedible. Hush puppies were oily, the cocktail sauce was hard (literally hard!), the tarter sauce was just mayonnaise, crab texture was like a paste, flounder was barely cooked and almost cold, and the shrimp tasted bad. I can’t believe this place is allowed to stay in business and even more shocked that people choose to eat here. Really terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!

We were driving and literally found this place by accident. What a phenomenal treat! Friendliest staff and OUTSTANDING food. I had the seafood platter and my Husband had surf and turf….his steak was perfect. We will come back …on purpose.

Food in general was kind of bland. Clam chowder was really runny with no real clam pieces. And the stuffed flounder was full of spines. It was impossible to get them out without swallowing any. We had 3 different dishes and none of them was truly outstanding. Salad bar is great though.

I was very disappointed in the food tonight. We ordered the large seafood platter and the food was luke warm at best. The shrimp coating was soggy as well as the oysters. Our fries were cold and we requested them to be crisp but they weren’t. The deviled crab and clam had a funny taste. The only thing good was the flounder. Overall the quality was not the same as in the past. We were seated quickly with no wait but our waitress was busy and we had to remind her for napkins and drinks. Overall not a good experience.
