Very good food! It’s always nice to find a good Puerto Rican restaurant. For everything being fresh the wait was fast. The mofongo and tostones had excellent seasoning. The sweet and sour chicken has plenty of sauce and and the fried chicken was nice and juicy! They even sell Malta India! And wow the fried cheesecake with guava, just wow! For the quality of food the price was perfect!

We stopped in Houston on our way from San Antonio to New Orleans specifically to try Michy’s, and we were not disappointed. My husband: “Those were the best tostones I’ve had outside of Puerto Rico.” I agree. The mayoketchup is amazing, second only to my husband’s, imo. The jalapeño Churrasco is delicious! Very spicy, but a slow burn if you don’t actually bite into the jalapeño slices. My husband enjoyed the garlic chicken, and we both loved the fried rice. We both thought the mofongo was made very well but could have used some salt. Our experience was so good we stopped at Michy’s again on our way home to enjoy it again and to take home a large order of fried rice the whole family will enjoy tonight.

This place is a gem. It’s super popular with drive thru and dine in options. I got the garlic tofu and it was creamy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. I also got one piece of fried chicken to check it out and I see why people buy the whole buckets. My family also ordered fried rice, garlic chicken and peppered steak. Make sure you check out this unique place.

I try to come to new places that I get recommended to because my goal is to try to be as honest as possible and I base my review on 3 things; food, service, and atmosphere. As soon as we walked in there was a extreme smell to acrylics which I’m sure is from the nail place next door but I don’t understand why if it’s next door to it the smell manages to penetrate to their restaurant. I didn’t have a headache when I got there, but I had one by the time I left. I didn’t care too much about that at the time because I even sat there to eat there, the thing that I hated the most is that no one greeted us, we approached the front where the ladies were taking orders to look at the menu and we didn’t even get a hello or asked if we had any questions. I had the pollo enchilado with tostones and the carne frita with fried rice. The chicken and the sauce were soooo good but the tostones had no flavor to me, since I’ve never had them before I’m not sure if that’s how they’re supposed to be. However the carne frita with pork fried rice was the bomb, I feel that that’s the best thing on their menu.

Food was good with big portions. 2 people can eat from 1 plates. The tostones and carne frita were excellent. The mofongo was different like mixed with potato but ok. Will definitely be coming back.

First time trying this food yesterday and it was Amazing ! Full of flavors. It’s like each bite is full of fireworks. I was even doing my happy dance when I was eating ! The Tostones were so delicious and never have I had Tostones this good ! This style of fusion reminded me of when I traveled to Dominican Republic and they had whats called Chofan and basically that’s what the pork fried rice was like and I’m sooo happy I tried it. I will definitely be going back. This is some good hearty and filling food and definitely not for someone who is trying to diet or watch what they eat , this food is for serious foodies who enjoy trying different flavors and enjoying food in general! Thanks Michy and staff!

Honestly, I don’t like reviewing perfectly average places like this because well.. what is there to say, really? And it kinda frustrates me to think that there are places I spent money on that were utterly unmemorable one way or the other.

I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. Maybe I should try sorting by newest reviews. The food was very bland. The fried chicken had no seasoning at all. Not even salt. My kids that love any Chinese food did not like the orange chicken or the Lo Mein. The soap dispenser is also not working. I had to go through a lot to get soap out of it to wash my hands. The next day I asked myself if any of the employees would have gone through so much just to get soap to wash their hands. I seriously doubt it.

I had the Carne Frita with tostones. The fried meat is delicious and the fried plantain is delicious. Great flavor. I tried the Mofongo but it was a little too dry. Needed a sauce. They do have a drive through but the food is made fresh so expect to wait about 15 minutes. It’s worth the wait. Customer Service is great too. They helped explain the menu to me.
