Without a doubt, five out of five stars. Clean restaurant and well-maintained restrooms, large menu – both food and drinks, and every employee was very helpful and pleasant. The owner and his son, the chef, actually took the time to come talk and see how the food was and they were incredibly nice and conversational. Definitely the BEST sea bass I have ever had in my life – it melts like butter in your mouth! The lobster appetizer is also very tasty and not something you could just order anywhere – the chef has his own spin on the way he prepares it! Absolutely delicious!

My bf and I came here for dinner. We get there and we had the option to sit inside or outside. It was a lovely evening so we decided to sit outside. They had the patio lights which made the ambiance more romantic. The waiter was very sweet and helpful. We order the lobster mashed potato as an appetizer and it had a citrus flavor that blended well with the lobster. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my bf ordered the pasta with seafood. The Chilean Sea Bass was the star of the night lol. It melted like butter in my mouth. It was cooked to perfection. I paired it with a glass of wine. Delicious! Can’t wait to be back.

I hosted a private dinner event and worked with Melissa, Matt, & Chris and had a wonderful experience! The appetizers were brought out quickly and orders were taken seamlessly before the speaking engagement began. Came for a birthday dinner on a Thursday night. Parking can be found on the street or in the lot behind the restaurant. Service was good; we went to the bar to wait for our other friends and it was good. They offer a full bar. Initially they wanted to put us in a table outside but it was dusty so we moved inside. The bread is great (they offer regular bread and corn bread) with butter. We had the lobster bites with bread and it was good. For the main course ordered the Filet mignon, cooked medium plus (between medium and well but more on the medium side, pink throughout) with street corn and the mac n cheese. Everything was good; the mac n cheese was a bit too hot to eat, even after a few minutes. For dessert, had the brownie sundae and baklava cheesecake. Brownie sundae was awesome; didn’t have the baklava cheesecake but it looked good. Bathroom was clean; bonus points if you can find the second stall!

The sea bass is truly phenomenal and melts like butter. Highly recommend the ny strip also. Our waiter was fantastic and we had such great service and I’m not a dessert person but the banana cream is out of this world good.

I would have rated Davenport’s 4.5 stars but you can’t give half stars. The only reason for this is that we had a reservation for 8:15pm and weren’t seated until just after 8:30pm. I get that places can get busy and reservations can be hard to manage but this is a higher-end restaurant so I expect a little more. Other than that, everything was excellent. This was our first time here. Our waitress great and made fantastic recommendations from drinks to appetizers and main dishes. We started with oysters. Then had the lobster bites which were awesome. Burata and beets were delicious and the Italian soup was perfect for a cold night. The filet mignon was prepared perfectly. We ended with the banana cream pie that was awesome. Will definitely go back again.

A davenport is an old style upholstered sofa. This is what I’m reminded of at this restaurant..the old style meat menue restaurants my grandmother used to frequent, with jazz music playing in the background , a little dark for my taste, but such gives an aire of elegance. We were late seating after a movie, but they accommodated us beautifully. The service was impeccable, Our server, I wish I could remember his name, was very friendly and affable, not LaLa land phony, many of you know what I mean. We shared a glass of Malbec that our server offered to split for us, without hesitation or sneering, into two lovely wine glasses. My friend said the french dip was the best he’d ever eaten. I’m a vegetarian, so appetizers, sides and salads are my go-to at chop houses. The grilled artichoke appetizer was delicious. with a delightful peppercorn dipping sauce. Rounding out the vegetarian meal was the nice and chunky skin-on mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked broccolini, and a delicious house salad with so many flavors and textures i’m still thinking about it. Yummy. And this was all prepared when the kitchen was about to close !
