The aroma of savory Mexican food lured me in to the old Garf’s deli as I was driving through downtown Norwich during lunchtime. Megan noticed I was taking some pictures and followed me inside to politely serve me a well prepared burrito that I quickly devoured. Like some of the other comments, the salsa is in short supply because it is deliciously well-balanced with flavor. The establishment is still clean and charming and the ingredients are real and fresh. if you like Chipotle or Moe’s, you will like Tex-Mex.

Pricey and portion size is small. Ordered a chicken quesadilla and a chicken burrito. Quesadilla was not packed with requested ingredients but rather sprinkled with it. Had two small slices of chicken on it. Total bill was $29 with the quesadilla, burrito, one drink and “complimentary” chips. Smelled great in there, the food tasted good, and the chips are decent. Basically a knock off of Moe’s. It brings a nice new type of restaurant to the area but it’s not something that can be visited frequently.

Disappointed overall. Food was pretty bland, quesadillas were packaged very odd so they ended up being a congealed mess. They apparently forgot to include our chips in the bag, so we didn’t have those.

I had heard there was a new Tex-Mex place in town, and I wanted to try it. I had an overall pleasant experience. The two gentlemen behind the prep area were very helpful in getting me what I needed. I ordered a carnitas burrito, and it was great! It was very filling, and hit the spot just right. I liked that I could have it just how I wanted, and that I could see all the ingredients. My only complaint was the amount of salsa that came with the complimentary chips. I wish there was a lot more of it! But I also understand that businesses need to make a profit, and if they’re giving out 5 ounces of salsa for free for every person, you’re not going to make too much of a profit.

Stopped in today after hemming and hawing over the reviews. And it’s ok, I mean the food tasted good. Yet the portions were small and pricey. I ordered a burrito bowl which wasn’t even filled to the rim of the bowl. They use tiny spoons to place the toppings, almost about the size a household soup spoon worth. There couldn’t have been more than a dozen black beans in the burrito and beans are cheap. The staff was friendly and courteous. The atmosphere was lacking, the music was too loud to talk. I get they just opened and are going through a learn curve so I will try them again in a year or so to see if it gets any better.

Heard about this new place in Norwich. Was pretty excited. Decided to stop in and took my niece with me. I had a burrito bowl which was very excellent and they did not skimp on the toppings. Very fresh. My niece had herself a burrito and she absolutely loved it. Gave it the thumbs up. The employees were very sweet with her as she was shy and the gentleman who cashed us out was amazing. Will surely return.

We just moved here from Texas and after 5 days on the road we decided that we wanted a little taste of home, so we decided to give this place a try. They did not disappoint. Everything tasted good. The homemade chips are great and the nacho portion is amazing.

They’re a new restaurant as of April 2022, but the food was bland, expensive for what it was (a burrito, fajitas, and chips cost $40), and there is a much better version of the same thing at Johnny B’s in the summer in Norwich. I ordered Fajitas and they forgot the tortillas, and the meat was bland. As a novice cook I could make something better in my own kitchen.
