Walked in at noon on a Monday. There were only 2 tables of customers. The hostess was about to seat us and the nasty waitress started yelling at the hostess to not seat anyone else because she couldn’t handle it. Apparently she couldn’t handle more than 2 tables at a time. Waitress was EXTREMELY RUDE to us (the customers) and the poor hostess just trying to do her job and seat customers. Ended up leaving because it was going to supposedly take 35-40 mins to seat a third table. Not sure if the waitress thinks her rude New York attitude is funny but I’m from NJ and moved down here to get away from that attitude. Know your audience.

Great new location and great food! Very extensive list of options to choose from. Restaurant environment is very welcoming and the entire kitchen is in full view. Bar seating available. Staff members are very nice and helpful. Great SUPER HUGE drink cups for our hot summertimes!

Tried for the first time, I got the Greek salad. And husband got the Ruben sandwich. Only a few things vegetarian mostly deli meat, I understand it’s a meat deli but there are a lot of plant base sandwich meats available which would be great if they had a plant base deli sandwich option. Comparing it to Grubys on the island it’s a close second. Give them time to get good help and get everything in order and they will be great. Help is always an issue. The sandwiches that we got had been excellent. Right out of NY. The chicken soap needs help, to much salt, no vegetables more like broth. French fries were a little soft, they need to be crispy. I’m sure since they had been part of the Grubys family they will be perfect in time.

OMG hadn’t been to this one, have been to HHI and Okatie but this is goood…stuffed cabbage appetizer filled me up but also had a few bites of the New York Ruben corned beef and pastrami yummy and huge Cole slaw and rye bread 5 star

First time at this restaurant, will give another shot likely in the future. I will probably try a sandwich next time, seems like that is where this place shines. Service was great. Ambience fine, nothing special. Ordered the Italian sausage with onions and peppers. Really a bowl of spaghetti with a small amount of sausage in the sauce, menu didn’t mention it was a pasta dish… Certainly not worth the price paid. Cake was good. Next time I bet I’ll dig one of the deli sandwiches.
