It’s been at least 10 years since I’ve been to Café Lily…shame on me. I don’t remember having a better meal anywhere in downtown Decatur. The risotto was cooked perfectly, infused with perfectly seared scallop essence. The calamari presentation was wonderful, continuing to cook on a sear plate at the table. Tuna was a perfect medium/medium rare, and the crab cake, while a bit small, was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I’ve always enjoyed their classy dining experience. You feel so well taken care of and all the meals I’ve eaten have been made with care. My favorite is their lunches but they are also a wonderful spot for date night! Forgot to take a picture of the salmon and mashed potatoes that slapped!! It’s also nice they do half and full portions.

First time at Cafe Lily, it’s nice little place for a quiet brunch, the atmosphere was pleasant you could actually have a conversation with your party. Great service. My only complaint was with the food, the Shrimp and Grits was extremely salty. The combination of salt from the sausage, bacon and cheese was overpowering. Please see the description below.

I highly recommend! Hubby and I went on a date very nice atmosphere. From the time we walked in until we left the service was top notch. The hostess friendly we had an hour wait which was fine we sat at the bar ordered drinks. Was served by Teresa extremely friendly my husband speaks Spanish so they had a great conversation! Our drinks were tasty a little strong lol… our table was ready in 30 minutes the hostess came over and directed us to our table. Then our waitress Brielle was so a joy extremely friendly offered great suggestions and made the experience so enjoyable. Our food delicious… we ordered the falafel and calamari for apps… oh my goodness the bread another level I have to call and find out about the bakery… our entrees he ordered the lamb chops I ordered the salmon of course we could not finish had to box so we could have dessert. The tiramisu delectable the slice was huge we couldn’t split. Also during our dinner we met one of the owners Katie she is such a delight… full of energy and such a pleasure to talk to… she offered us an apple Brandy from Du Nord black owned distillery. Very flavorful… needless to say we will be going back for brunch by the end of the month… a must go to in Decatur!

Beautiful relaxed place to enjoy lunches and dinners. We went on Wednesday night for dinner and Sarah, our server was amazing. Our table was wobbly and the moment she noticed it, she fixed it right away. The best gesture of hospitality which I never got at any other place for same situation. Sarah informed us about the daily special options however we chose other items from menu. Their cold maze platter was delicious with all types of appetizers in it. We also tried Gamberi Alla Rossa which was full of flavors and yummy. Their bread and olive oil sauce was great too. But what I like the most was their non alcoholic drink named Orange Cardamon. Although I’m wine person but I just loved this drink and ordered repeat for it. I’ll definitely be going back to try more dishes and drinks.
