The food was great here and they give you large portions. Very quick stop for lunch and the food was great. Hashbrown casserole and pinto beans were my favorite sides.

I’d give this a 4.3. I had the smoked wings that taste great, but where a little dry being the last of the batch, i was told, but still really good. Potato salad needs a little seasoning. Service was very friendly and patient. Would definitely go back and try the loaded potatoes, which looked to be the favorite.

Fine establishment, superior food and menu. Long, communal tables take up most of the seating. Everything is self serve, no wait staff. Deserves the high rating!

I REALLY wanted this place to be better than avg but it failed on multiple fronts. Getting brisket much less good brisket in Huntsville is a struggle unless ofc I smoke it myself. I ordered the brisket plate, my wife got smoked wings, both plates were a disappointment for multiple reasons. My brisket had no bark, no smoke ring and very little flavor. It reminded me of an Arby’s sandwich meat, it was more of a crockpot roast than smoked brisket. The potato salad was dry, unlike any potato salad I’ve had before. The only thing on either mine or my wife’s plate that was close to being good were the beans. She got the smoked wings, they were served at room temperature and dry. They had meh flavor and were a consistency of something that had just sat under a heat lamp since noon. Our desert’s we’re no better. The peach cobbler was a soft soggy gel mess. The banana pudding was extremely runny and had not a wafer in site. Including 2 drinks our bill approached $60.00. With all this said, I will go back for rd 2, next time I’ll try the brisket sandwich with hope that this was an anomaly.

Tried Boar Hogs for the first time. We had the brisket burger with onion rings, a Mac & cheese side, & a smoked chicken salad. The brisket burger was big & delicious! The onion rings perfectly cook. But my meal, it took 5 bites out of everything. The Mac and cheese was dry and old. The salad had so many onions I felt they did it on purpose. If that smoked salad was a 5 layer dip, the amount of onions they put on there would equal 3 layers. That was an insane amount of onions. I had to ask them to remake it. I didn’t really want to eat it. I was expecting smoked meat, not the kinda meat that goes in a sandwich, the pulled bbq chicken. It was horrible. When I ate the meat and a croton it was good, but all together, I wanted to spit it out. If I were to get a pulled chicken sandwich from them I wouldn’t ever put lettuce and tomato’s on it. I left it on table and didn’t even have the desire to take it home. Me personally I didn’t feel a welcoming feeling, I didn’t feel that there. We spend about $35.

Best BBQ near Huntsville!! Highly recommend the ribs and onion rings, but everything I’ve had here is delicious.

Liked this pretty good. Clean cute atmosphere. Don’t like the name because makes you think they are serving Wild boar. My pulled pork sandwich was very tasty. Though I was ordering Brisket. The checkout lady is delightful. I’ll go back.

We got the pulled pork and tried it with their white sauce and vinegar sauce. The white sauce was quite good, the vinegar sauce wasn’t as good and had hints of cinnamon. I had their vinegar Based coleslaw and enjoyed it very much. We also tried their baked beans (tasted just like bushes baked beans), mac and cheese (nothing special), and their brunswick stew which was not good. they used potato in it as filler and the flavor wasn’t quite right. We also tried their bbq baked potato, it was tasty and a huge portion. Lastly we had some of their bannana pudding which was just like how my grandma made it, it was delicious. Overall the meat and sauces were good enough to recommend the place, the sides were okay, and the bannana pudding is the way it should be.

Overall my visit here was a good experience. The cashiers were very nice, the food was good and the atmosphere was solid. I got the brisket, beans and mayo slaw. The brisket wasn’t the best I ever had, but it was good. I’m a big fan of vinegar based red sauce and they had a solid version. The slaw was a home run and the beans would stand against the best. After my meal I got the peach cobbler to go and it was fire. I highly recommend the slaw and cobbler. I really dig the order and pay situation they have here, as opposed to a waiter/waitress. When the cashiers are accommodating, like they were, it’s a win win for everyone.
