We visited Peking Chef on a Friday night around 6:30 p.m. There were two tables occupied, so there was plenty of seating. The tables were a bit sticky due to the disinfectant applied to the surface.

I had originally been to this establishment years ago, and the food was astounding. I took my wife there the other day for lunch, and I was disappointed in the quality of the food that was served. The appetizers were good, but we both got steamed dumplings. The main corse for me was a disappointment, unfortunately. The decor was dated or just not maintained.

My Go To is Sweet & Sour shrimp! And every place I’ve ordered it, the shrimp are ALWAYS hand battered and fried on-site. Not here! The shrimp were pre packaged, frozen and bread crumb coating! That is NOT Chinese. The sauce was watery without any flavor. Also ordered Edamame, and requested soy sauce and fried noodles with duck sauce. Not only were the shrimp inedible, no soy sauce for the edamame. The only good item we’re the noodles! Total waste of $38.48!!!

Rude! Called to ask if steamed chicken had curry or ginger in brown sauce. She said “SIR ONLY CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI DID U HEAR ME?” I said, ” I’m asking about the brown sauce” She yelled the exact same thing. WOW Great customer service.

I have been coming to Peking Chef for a long time, but I haven’t been here for a while so I decided to come back. Sweet and Sour Pork is so good! The presentation of the food was magnificent. There is nice, friendly staff.
