Fantastic dinner and experience. The service, ambiance, and meal was second to none. Great views of the beach and ocean while enjoying multiple courses that you can taste are fresh and homemade. Loved the surf & turf for two. We will make a point to come back whenever we are in Cape May!

We went there with two other couples we had a fabulous time and a wonderful meal. Most everyone had one of the steak dinners which were unbelievably seasoned and melted in your mouth, one person had the salmon, she said it was excellent. We all got three apps to share between all of us. We got the crab with scallops, pork belly and the shrimp u2. OMG! Delicious for dessert they bought at a plate that had cheesecake and some other goodies on it and that was over-the-top delicious also. Brie was our waitress and she was wonderful! Great personality. Thank you Brie for making our visit extra special.

We went there on a Sunday with a reservation at 5 pm. There were 3 of us. Recommend to bring cash to avoid the 3% credit card up charge! We ordered two appetizers which were the Burrata as well as the Lobster & Scallop! Both of the appetizers were out if this world delicious! They serve complimentary rolls, salad and dessert. The rolls were delicious! However they only supplied two rolls for 3 people. The waitress said they were sliced in half allowing us to share them. We each had 3/4 of a roll. Also included was a dollop of pesto and oil for dipping. Also included was a Mediterranean type salad which had green olives as well as pickled cauliflower on a bed of greens with shaved parmesan cheese. The salad wasn’t to my liking as it was tainted with the olive flavor. My daughter and I both ordered the Special of the night, “Filet and Lobster tail. We both ordered the filet rare. Mine was rare and hers was mid rare. The lobster tails were excellent. I liked my filet but she thought hers was dry. She ordered the garlic peppercorn sauce which she didn’t care for. I ordered the horseradish cream sauce which was delicious. My Son-in-law (SIL) ordered the aged ribeye. He ordered it mid rare but it arrived medium. The waitress offered to refire another one but he declined. For the price we paid, they were paying, they expected the steaks to be cooked perfectly the first time. Again, mine was perfectly cooked! We also ordered the Chef Veggies and Yukon potatoes. Potatoes were delicious. Dessert was one plate served family style. It consisted of two and 1/2 cookies, two flourless chocolate cakes, two portions of chocolate mousse, two strawberries and two gooseberries. Remember there were 3 of us. My SIL had coffee too. The atmosphere was beautiful and we had a table overlooking the beach and ocean!

I’ve been to Primal several times now and EVERY time I go it’s an Experience. The Food is Always amazing. Mia & Joe know how to finesse great flavors no matter if it’s the appetizers or the Entrees, right down to the Salad. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve eaten at many great restaurants but in my opinion Primal by far is the Best for all of these reasons. I drive 90 miles just to experience an Outstanding meal Di yourself a favor and GO !!!

Primal by Mia….WOW!!! It was amazing! My husband got the Tuna Tartare app and said it was amazing! The bread, oil and pesto were perfect! I really enjoyed the salad they gave us after apps. The Tomahawk steak and filet minon with lobster tail were delicious…cooked perfect!! The chimichurri sauce tasted so good with the steak!!! We also added the truffle Yukon mashed potatoes and fryer peppers as sides…yum! Then they brought us a raspberry tart, I think it was rasberry mouse, with key lime whipped cream and a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. I would have never ordered something like that…not my thing but I tasted it and couldn’t stop eating it!! Our waiter was great, explained the menu, the dishes, spaced out our courses, and kept our wine and water glasses full. Didn’t fell rushed, loud or crowded. Exceeded my expectations!! I can’t say enough. We’ll be back!

Had a delicious dinner here the other night. Russell was our server, polite and attentive. We have smaller appetites so chose to share everything and it was still a lot of food. It started with the fresh baked bread followed by the burrata cheese, scallop and lobster, a big salad, filet mignon and complimentary dessert. We will be back

Finally we were able to get a late night reservation. Food was amazinggggg! Steaks was cooked on the real fire and full of flavor and juicylicious. I recommend to just get garlic oil instead of any type of sauce for the steak. In my opinion that the streak is already so flavor and no need to add anything additional. The lobster dish was pricy but worth it. Lobsters are from South African. They taste sweet and tender vs the New England lobster where the meat is bit tougher. We didn’t have place for desert because we had two of those BEST bread that Mia made. She is a rock star and has raised the bar for Cape May. We chat with her briefly after dinner and she is so passionate about food and serving people. This is my go to and you can find them on Resy app. BTW it’s BYOB so bring you best wine and enjoy your dinner and your companion.

Five stars across the board. We came in about 15 minutes before they close and they allowed us to sit at the “bar” (it’s BYOB). Very nice, I was expecting for them to tell us it was too late which would have been totally fair. We sit down, an older couple sitting there noticed we did not bring any wine or anything and insisted that the server at the bar area give us whiskey and wine that they brought. The nicest people. We ordered quickly since they were trying to close and wow. My wife got scallops and lobster in this heavenly cream sauce. Truly some of the best sauce I’ve ever tasted. I got surf and turf that was just perfect. Per the servers recommendation we got truffle mashed potatoes which were a 10/10. The server was incredibly kind, we talked to her the whole meal. From the service to the food to the ambiance. The whole experience was outstanding. You have to try it, we’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely a magical experience, and by “experience”, I mean just that. The entire dinner was a journey through a vision the chef created, curated by an educated staff of servers and host who are well versed in the chef’s culinary intention.

Been here twice, and amazing both times. The service is friendly and professional, and every aspect of the meal was perfectly prepared, from appetizers through dessert. The presentation of the food was expertly done, and the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. I also love that it’s byob! We will definitely be back soon!
