My husband and I visited Hendersonville and on our way to Arden we wanted Authentic Latin American food. We saw the menu online and drove straight to Conosur. You order as you walk in and than take a seat we did not notice that haha.

Horrible. The bread was hard as a rock and the empanadas are made out of phyllo dough with chorizo seasonings and super greasy!

Casual place with great authentic South American food. My favorite dish is the aji de gallina, but the lomo saltado and chorillana is also delicious. We usually get an empanada or two as well- the filling is so tasty and the pastry is soooo flaky and good. Great pizza too!

Amazing Latin American Home-Style restaurant with daily specials and mouth-watering dishes you can only get here! I’m a Latina who’s been living in Asheville for a while and I can confirm that it’s legit. 🙂 Additionally, the owner is wonderful and the service is great.

This small establishment brings big flavors to Mills River. Located at the intersection of Haywood Rd and Highway 280 (next to the Creamery), Conosur provides diners with authentic Peruvian and Chilean delights. Don’t worry if you’re not an adventurous eater; they have juicy burgers and crispy pizza too. Oh, and they have a large gluten-free selection as well. Take out is also available via phone or online ordering.

Am I the only Peruvian that always looks for Peruvian food when they’re away from home? Anyway, my hubby found this spot and I was intrigued that they offered a Butifarra so we went. Got there about 30 minutes before closing but they were super welcoming and we got our food really quick. My husband got the Lomo Saltado (he gets this at EVERY Peruvian restaurant we go to – I think it’s how he rates whether or not the place is any good) and I got the Butifarra sandwich! My sandwich was so delicious, just the right mix of mayo, onion, & roast pork and the roll was really fresh and perfectly toasted. However, the Lomo Saltado was the true star, the beef and vegetables were seasoned authentically and it was a generous portion. If you like Peruvian fare, Conosur won’t disappoint. Their menu was very varied and I wager there’s something for even the pickiest eater. Oh yeah, I almost forgot: they serve Inka Kola and Chicha Morada

Little roadside restaurant at a busy intersection. One of those little places you might pass by every day without stopping, but today we decided to give it a try and I’m glad we did, we really enjoyed our meals. The decor is a little basic but the food more than makes up for it. The menu has plenty to choose from and I know we will be back for sure! Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is right out front. Easy access.

We had a delicious meal of Pork Havana (top) and Lomo Saltado this evening. Great dishes, good service, delicious local lager and pilsner. Highly recommend. This is a gem in the little town of Mills River!
