My wife and I ordered some take out from them and it was so so. So we went back to try them dining in. Food was definitely better eating there. I ordered the squid with salty cabbage. My wife ordered the spicy fish filet. Both lunch specials. Came with soup and white rice on the side. My hot and sour soup was blend, a bit much on the sesame oil. My wife’s wonton soup is alo on the blend side. The main dishes tasted good, a bit on the heavy side to us but that’s Sichuan style cooking. The service was good. The place reminded me of typical old style Chinese restaurants.

We had an incredibly delightful time and enjoyed a lovely meal! We were greeted warmly by Marie, who saw to it that everything was great from start to finish. My partner lived and worked abroad for years and he was taken aback by how delicious and authentic the scallion pancakes and shrimp dumplings were. We will definitely come back!

4/ 23 Update: i heard the new ownership is in transition, im hoping they’ll maintain the same great recipes. Authentic taste, hit the spot. Looking for a great spice? this is the place. 2022 same great HK style cooking..2022 November Updates had happen on thier menu.. make sure to confirm before placing orders. The usual great taste is done with any food you’ll get. I’m still a Fan.

Wow! This was a great take out experience. It was my first time here. I’m generally not a huge fast food Chinese person and more prefer authentic food and this hit the mark! The staff seems friendly and the food was excellent. I ordered the pork and leek dumplings which were really tasty and felt fresh and high quality. The sauce was basically in the dumplings and was really fantastic. I also got the braised pork belly steamed buns and they were absolutely delicious. The pork belly was basically perfect and the relish/chutney in the bun perfectly balance the sweet bun and the fresh cilantro was a great touch. The shrimp curry I got was the best Chinese curry I think I’ve had. The peppers in it were wonderfully flavorful with a perfect amount of spice and the sauce wasn’t too weak or too much. Overall I enjoyed the food and found my new go to Chinese spot

I have no complaints here. All of the food we ordered for take-out was tasty. It was ready for us exactly 25 minutes later when we arrived. The veggie mei fun and fried rice was especially good. I think what made the experience better than usual was the high amount of broccoli in the dishes – and we’re not talking about the overcooked soggy kind. I love broccoli. At least for me, Mom’s Kitchen is a great choice and I will come back again.

My only complaint is that my stomach was not big enough to continue eating the large portions of delicious sesame chicken, double cooked chicken, Mini juicy dumpling w/ pork, and pan fried pork buns.

This place is legit. We went for the first time last week and will definitely return. We were excited by a lot of dishes on the menu but opted for the braised pork with preserved veg, baby bok choy, dan dan noodles, and pan fried pork buns. They all were delicious and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to go back.
