I tried this restaurant back in 2009 and it was bad. By bad luck, I had to have it again in 2023. I’ve honestly got no idea how it’s still in business. Bland, expensive, poor quality food. Do what you will, but you’ve been warned.

If I could give zero stars I would. Some of the most flavorless, dried out chinese food we’ve ever had. Sweet and sour chicken had hardly any chicken, was all batter, same with chicken lo mein, fried rice was dry and pitiful. Will never order their food again.

Ordered here on Thursday June 29, 2023. Ordered a selection off the dinner menu. I received 3/4 of the dinner as fried rice and the remainder was the beef and garlic sauce. Not happy paying 12 dollars for what was mostly fried rice. Never again. Panda Gardens in Coventry is the place to go.

First I ordered over the phone and the lady told me she won’t run my card because we weren’t sure of the zip code on it, because she didn’t want to try again if it didn’t go through the first time. I understand the frustration, but my dad has Alzheimer’s and forgot the zip code on his card (as he has moved houses recently) so honestly her snappy reaction just didn’t go over well with me. So whatever fine we said we would pay with cash.

This is legitimately the worst Chinese food I have ever purchased. The crab rangoons were completely empty, the “fried rice” was just yellow rice, the spare ribs straight up tasted like maraschino cherries, the lo mein was tasteless, and the eggrolls were bland. Avoid this place if you like good food.

They have the audacity to hang up on me several times after getting my order of food wrong. I ordered pork fried rice with chicken, and asked for no vegetables, but it ended up being a very few pieces of chicken in a chicken based dish with nearly half the plate being covered in onions and other vegetables. Their food made me sick for 2 days. NEVER TRY their food, even though from what I ordered should be simple(easy) reciepe for most of Chinese restaurants- string bean with beef, however they made the taste of beef extremely nasty, like you’re chewing a meat with sand. I took some pills for my stomache last night but till this second night I still wanna throw up. Be cautious people near UConn, I have couple few other friends who tried this restaurant but never turned back to them.
