Came in for brunch. Ordered the Son of Egg, which is an omelet with shredded carrots and cabbage. I also had a coffee. Their Korean style coffee was strong. The omelet took 20 minutes at a minimum. It was approaching lunch time however the store was empty when I arrived, and there was one mobile order that walked in. I think that was a pretty long time. The sandwich was okay, but it was not my vibe. The omelet could use seasonings. The homemade ketchup on top of the sandwich was the only reason the sandwich wasn’t dry. The bread was tough, so I took the top slice off. I decided to take my order to go after I started smelling an unpleasant smell, not sure where it was coming from. The store wasn’t flithy, but it wasn’t clean, considering it just opened.

The small restaurant is a typical location of the Lark Street area. A few tables spaced apart. The hostess/server was so charming and friendly. She answered all of our questions about the cuisine. You can eat here inexpensively but we wanted to try a little of everything. Great flavors and decent portions. Just be aware of parking. They seemed to be doing a great takeout as well. I was sad that my homemade lemonade slipped and fell out of my hands Even bought a “Son of Egg” little wool hat for my granddaughter

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Located in a small, older looking shop, is this amazing restaurant. At first we were hesitant to try, but so glad we did. The food is absolutely AMAZING. And the staff are SO KIND. The food is SO CHEAP. I mean seriously, it’s crazy how cheap it is. The breakfast sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had and they’re only $5.

Foods great have ordered before with only minor issues .Unfortunately the other night when ordering on doordash I got two bulogi bowls and paid extra on both for two eggs which came burnt and tasted disgusting , there was also a time where I paid for extra kimchi and didn’t get barley any to begin with 🙁 which was also at night, not a big deal but just something to think of when you order late at night . It’s as if they stop caring at a certain time ,which sucks because the food isn’t cheap, this place just needs to work on consistency.some people will give you good fresh portion and some will skimp and give you burnt or food that def has been sitting .

So dissatisfied with the food, service, approach. I ordered a mix well bibimpap with tofu. They added fried chicken which i did not ask. My friend gave back her order since the rice was uncooked. They said they were making new rice, told me about after ages. Offered a new order or refund. I requested a refund and i was informed the owner/boss needs to approve. I stayed there for an hour, no food, no refund. My friends that came with me had bad food. Not going back here again. I don’t write bad reviews unless it is a truly bad experience.

Their food is very good. The sauce on the bulgogi is a tad bit sweet for me. The only reason I gave them for stars instead of 5 stars is that it cost $2 to add avocado onto your meal and they literally give you three small slices. You can buy an entire avocado for that at the grocery store and you’re getting like a tenth of one. I understand that you pay for convenience and preparation but that’s a little bit much for the amount they gave.

Stopped by with my family on our way home north. Husband had the mix-well beef bibimbap, daughter had the kimbap with fried chicken, and I had the chicken rice bowl. Rice was perfect and so was the fried chicken with the sauce and a small side salad. Very good comfort food. We enjoyed beef dumplings as our appetizer.
