The Oldest Restaurant in Kings County, since 1901. Had the “Special” eggs (perfectly poached), bacon (cooked perfectly crisp!) and biscuits and gravy…Yummmmmm…filled up quickly with good hometown folks who greeted each other. Susan, the server, was very engaging and kind! Definitely a must. May drive down from Fresno to have dinner sometime, it’s that good!

Good food with good portions at a good price. Just about the only thing wrong with Star Restaurant is that they are not open on the weekends. Aside from that, this place will not disappoint! I’ve had the chicken fried steak and eggs as well as a bacon burger with fries. Both times failed to get a complaint from me. Staff is great, and it is a great place to sit down and enjoy your meal.

Amazing food! Went here for the first time and ordered breakfast. When you walk in you can just find yourself a seat. It has a very old fashioned diner atmosphere that just makes you feel welcomed. The service was fast and very attentive. The prices are really good for the amount of food you receive. The breakfast meal I received I could barely finish because there was so much. I got the scrambled eggs with cheese, country potatoes, ham and it came with biscuits and gravy. All of it was so good, but the country potatoes and biscuits and gravy were out of this world good with their flavor. This will definitely be my new breakfast spot.

Fantastic little breakfast place. Everything I’ve had here has been super delicious… But the best thing is their killer biscuits. I grew up in Georgia and these are true southern biscuits lighter than air, and their country gravy is fantastic on top! Staff is super friendly and remembers you.
