This place reminds me of the nicer cafes in France. The staff was polite and efficient, the food was very good. My wife had the quiche Florentine with homemade vegetable soup and she enjoyed both. I had the Parisian sandwich with prosciutto which was also good.

Gertrude has amazing customer service! What great ambience and Gertrude makes me feel at home. A little bit of France nestled in the corner of a plaza. It has the best soups around town. Make sure check out the outdoor seating! This is where you can get away from the Hassel of work to relax. They have fresh bakery goods and treats to take home. I love the menu. Gertrude deserves a raise or paid vacation.

We stopped in for a quick lunch bite while i was in the neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised how rich and fluffy my quiche was. i had the lunch combo quiche with soup. French onion soup was tasty with baguettes at the bottom and shaved gruyère on top. I noticed a covered patio for shaded outside seating. next time i will try some desserts.

I used to go here pretty regularly, but this place has really gone downhill in the last year or so. The servers are rude and the food is gross. My wife ordered a quiche that tasted like it had been made with expired milk–it tasted kind of like the way a baby’s diaper smells, if you’ve had that experience. It was disgusting. When we informed the server (who we didn’t see again until she came back out to give us the check), she decided to argue with us about it. We weren’t asking for a refund (though a decent place would’ve offered one), we just wanted them to know so that they didn’t serve it to someone else.

I have lived in Boca for 50 years and my Dad who is from France turned me onto this restaurant years ago. Today I had a bad experience. The lettuce in my $21 wrap was old – even to the point of black in some pieces. I showed to owner and all she did was make an excuse that it was just opened today and blamed the delivery driver WHAT? First of all an owner should never make excuses just fix problem. She did not even remove the plate. Did not offer an apology or change amt on my bill or anything. Very unprofessional and she has now lost a family in off season that were good customers.

My husband and I walked in and stood there waiting for someone to tell us where to sit. Those working just stared at us. No greeting or even a smile. We patiently waited but after standing for 10 minutes, and I walk with a cane, we decided to leave. We did not feel comfortable, it was like they didn’t want our business. We never ate here and after reading the reviews and the experience we had, we will NEVER return.

This place has nothing to do with France, complete scam. I have ordered a plain crepe with goat cheese and jam on the side, server didn’t say anything. I got the crepe with a mountain of cheese inside, like literary I could barely see the crepe under all the cheese. And when I said this is not what I was expecting, I was told we are not allowed to serve plain crepes. Sorry, what?!

Attempted to dine here for breakfast, but the staff were so rude and unwelcoming, we ended up getting up from our table and leaving before ordering. This place was disorganized and the bakery shelves were almost empty even at 10am. Pass.
