The food was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service as much as the food. It was a group of 7 of us, and they were able to accommodate us quickly. We started Oysters, and they were great and fresh. Then I ordered the crab cake sandwich and cinnamon rolls. It was good and the price was awesome too. I would definitely be back here.

The Oysters were amazing and they have a large variety to chose from. They were fresh and properly shucked. The fried Oysters were also fresh and juicy. We were not really asked where we would like to sit and were placed outside. Thankfully it was nice to watch the sunset even if a tad bit humid out. The bloody marry was ok however it felt like the tomato mix was a little watered down and the vodka was personally not to my taste. For the price I was hoping for something with a little more attention to detail. My friends food looked great but was rather pricey for what they got. But I like oysters a lot so I was happy.

Crab cake was just ok, but the crab dip was good. If you don’t like artichoke, then you won’t like it. I had some drink that started with “purple…”. It was alright, nothing to write home about. The cornbread was delicious!! And it was nice to sit outside and people watch.

The Walrus Oyster & Ale House is located in a great spot along the National Harbor. My husband and I enjoyed having lunch there for his birthday. The fish and chips had a wonderful crunch and paired well with the sauce. My husband said his crab crakes perfectly seasoned and cooked with little filling. The flavor of the hummus was great; for me it was a little too chunky, but my husband loved it. My drink was well proportioned and flavorful.

Took my mom here for Mother’s Day and the front of house staff were very accommodating of a party of 7! We were seated almost immediately compared to other restaurants in the area that had long wait times. Our waiter, Mohamed, provided excellence service. He gave great menu recommendations and was very friendly and entertaining. Literally one of the best servers I’ve encountered. The food was also tasty. The wings, deviled eggs with fried oysters, and crab cakes were very good. This was my first time having a fried oyster and I can say I’m now a fan! I would absolutely come back to eat here.

I’m not sure how to review this restaurant. The oysters were good, the drinks were good, the service was good and the location is great. But when it came to the main course, the ‘cow’ looked the part, but to be honest, was quite underwhelming. There was a lot of water pouring out of all of the crabs legs and claws. And it had that just defrosted feel rather than fresh. It could have been because it was a busy Saturday evening, but I’ve had better for that price. If I could give 3.5 I would, but not a 4 star.

Visiting and staying nearby. Came in for Happy Hour and had the best afternoon! Awesome specials. Had 6 Oysters and then the Deviled Eggs. Deviled Eggs were life changing. They could bottle that sauce and sell it. Great way to spend an afternoon!

THIS place was right at the National Harbor…sat outside for the beautiful view and fresh air. Oysters are devine. The sweet ones are best. A half dozen turned into a whole. The crab dip was amazing. Comes with bread but tastes great with crackers. We had the oyster shooters…a MUST try if you love oysters…no fear. The drinks were top notch. Frozen drinks are bomb. AND the service was top notch. Our server was on top of it a d attentive to our every need. Definitely going back.

My first experience with Maryland style crab cake, loved it. It’s true what they say about crab cake, “Never had crab cakes till you had crabcakes from Maryland.” Oysters were probably my only gripe, of the dozen ordered, 2 look like they were leftovers from something else. Service was a tad slow but friendly. Presentation was good. In my experience with oysters it’s always a roll of the dice, I didn’t get sick so my experience here was great.
