Ordered takeout from here and the prices are good and the restaurant looks nice and updated inside. Only reason it’s 4 stars is I thought our kids chocolate milk was included with his meal but it was an extra 3$. I would recommend eating in restaurant because by the time we got home the fries were already soggy. Service was great! The tenderloin was fantastic!

The ladies that work at The Local do a very nice job. They tend to be busy, but these ladies keep smiling and make the effort to keep your experience a positive one. I have not had a bad experience. Also, they accommodate call-in/ pick-up times, which is very appreciated.

Only thing I can say is get the waitresses off there phones and tell them to be more aware of the customers. Our waitress was awesome but she was also running the bar. 3-4 other girls sitting at the bar on phones. But definitely will be back. Everything else was excellent.

Pretty nice restaurant. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if it wasn’t for a few details. But the food is very good with flavor of the Rueben I’ve never tasted before. The restaurant was clean enough and the decor was nice for a cosy feeling. Service from my waitress (Mackenna) was friendly and inviting. The restaurant even had brand new menus. All this and more make this a great restaurant. Here is why this restaurant isn’t getting my fifth star: Did I feel that it was a ‘family restaurant’? No. Not with the bar sticking out with all the liquor in plain sight.

We both had sandwiches which were huge and yummy. The homemade chips and fries were good too. Only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because our waitress Aubrey was more intrested in caring for a table with several guys and standing around talking with the other waitress than taking care of her other tables. My husband actually had to go search for her to get her to come back to the table to take our order. Then she dropped the check off and we had to flag her down to come take our money.

I just stopped to check this place out. Bartender was great. Great atmosphere. Good all looked amazing. I was sad I didn’t get a full pour of blue moon though….

This restaurant is off the beaten path from Hwy 151, nestled in rural Anamosa. There is plenty of parking with more to be developed later. Decor is rustic country with lots of sitting. As we first walked it, the noise level was very loud. You had a hard time hearing the person you were there with.

The pork tenderloin sandwich was great, good selection of beers I tried a couple local ones. The little on the loud side but it was busy. Service was really good even with how many people were there.
