Lovely place. I had the privilege of being waited on by the owner of the restaurant. David V, AKA “Tubby”. Terrific service, clean, very nice decor. The food was easily some of the best bbq I’ve ever eaten. The baked beans, as well as the rice, were two very good sides. For 1.50 a side you get plenty of it also.

Disclaimer: BBQ is a very personal thing! Good dry rub and flavorful homemade sauces. Sausage and pulled pork were very good. Brisket was very fatty and a little overdone for our taste, but again, that is a preference. Baked beans and rice sides were tasty. Green beans and potato salad didn’t offer much flavor. Crew, including the owner, were very friendly. Place was very clean, and service was great. If you like BBQ, you should definitely give it a shot.

So I am an Active Duty soldier, every time I take leave, and come back to Zephyrhills my wife and I always eat at Sonny’s. Well this time I was driving past Tubby’s Q & Smokehouse. I thought why not try this place out, it’s been here for a few years now. Walked in, and absolutely nobody here… thought maybe for a good reason?? But my wife and I order half rack each… honestly they could put Sonny’s and every BBQ restaurant out of business if they truly wanted too! By far the best Ribs I’ve ever had, and the owner himself Mr. Tubby was walking around asking ppl what they think and how’s life type of man. Great atmosphere definitely coming back with everyone I know.

Great BBQ! You can really taste that delicious smokey flavor in the pulled pork. And the sausage…so flavorful & a little spicy. I don’t know what kind of magic they put into the rice (meat & love?) but keep doing it! The portions are very generous, so now we have lunch tomorrow, thank you! Our server was friendly & professional…& Tubby himself came to check on us & say hi. Great customer service!

I ordered the brisket, pulled pork, rice, mac & cheese, and potato salad. The pulled pork was dry and tough. The brisket looked and tasted like it was boiled then put in the smoker just to add a smokey flavor to it. The rice was mushy and the chicken in the rice was dry. The potato salad and mac & cheese were bland like the rest of the food. The bbq sauce was the only thing I thought was good.

Money down the drain. Brisket was boiled, sides are very bland, chicken so dry you’ll need to drink 32oz of water to recover. This food is not even subpar, it’s just garbage.

Among one of the best BBQ that I have had. I saw reviews about the brisket having too much fat, but on this day it had a very thin layer of fat. My son and I walked in for lunch, and walked out with dinner for the whole family. Very pleased. Will return.
