this place is full of nostalgia for me, my graduate school program is nearby and I used to come here for lunch all the time. Fast forward to the present, 7 years have gone by and they are still here! Same chef and cashier. It looks like they have survived the pandemic and going strong. Same deco, same price, same taste. They could probably use a renovation. Very good small sushi restaurant!

The food is fresh, the quality is great, and the prices are reasonable. Most importantly: when I order takeout, their iPad for payments doesn’t have the awful tip settings. You just tap your card and that’s it! You’re not forced or guilted into selecting a tip amount. I love that and more places should do that.

Went in after seeing the high ratings on Google but it’s just about ok in my opinion. The fish was fresh but the sushi itself was way smaller than usual and the presentation was lacking. Also, the prices aren’t as cheap as it is made out to be.

I like this place. I’ve stopped in a handful of times. Yes, it’s on a local subway stop. Yes, the inner atmosphere is dingy and dull and a bit depressing. But it’s one place I can go in midtown-ish Manhattan to get sushi I don’t have to have in a wait service restaurant. I order my sushi at the counter, it is prepared pretty quickly, and I take it to my table. It’s great for people like me to tend to dine alone. The guys who work in there are basically cool. I will always keep coming back when I want fast good sushi. Places like this in NYC are becoming rarer and rarer.

This is a staple of my neighborhood and I’m so glad it survived pandemic. It brings me back to my broke nursing school days when I had to live on $20 a day. Sushi is still good and they make it pretty fast if you needed in a hurry.

Best sushi and best prices hands down! Awesome quality, quick service and super consistent. We’re so happy to have a local sushi spot that also does delivery. Great lunch specials too 🙂 highly recommended!

I loved it, i walked in with a full belly and said “screw it, limmie order some food here” and got myself a sweet potato with cream cheese roll. The price was amazing, the chef was nice and i just had a great time eating the rolls.

By far the best Japanese food in the area! We get take out almost every week and the food is consistently delicious. Prices are extremely fair, and both their sushi and kitchen entrees always fresh, well-prepared, and tasty.
