Our first time here. The staff was very friendly and informative. Had a little mishap with my chili cheese tots, I didn’t complain, but they saw me and took initiative to replaced them. The food was so good. The buns are amazing. Cinnamon buns made in-house are warmed up and glazed to order. Great experience, we will return.

Burgers were a good size. Toasted buns. Very good flavor. They offer a choice of fresh or sauteed onions on your burgers. Choice of fries, tater tots or onion rings. The batter on the onion rings was very tasty. Staff was very friendly and professional. We will be eating here again.

We tried these burgers yesterday and thought they were super fresh and tasty. We ordered for take out. The place itself is nostalgically designed with a Juke box and an old 1970s television that was playing Little Rascals. They bake their own buns which really kicks up the quality of the burgers. The fries were crinkled and ok but the onion rings were delicious and maintained their crunchiness even through the ride home which was impressive. The fries were soggy by the time we got home but still well cooked. They keep condiments on the side in packets and don’t place them on the burgers whether you are dining in or taking out, which I prefer. They have both bottled drinks and soda fountain drinks available, but the fountain drinks came with the combo. They had sweets available as well that we didn’t try this time including house made ice cream with flavors I don’t see as often like apple& cinnamon and Peaches&cream. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re craving burgers.

Visited for the first time on Friday at 5:30pm. We were the only ones on the place, but by the time we left at 7ish it was packed. Super fun vibe. Has a jukebox and a vintage TV that was showing Smokey and the Bandit. The employees were very friendly. We asked what they recommended and they said the #3 bacon cheeseburger and #6 “El Caliente” Burger which is their award winning burger. I went with the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions. The burger was delicious. Bacon was crispy but the real star was the bun. I had fries with it which were good as well and RC Cola from the soda fountain. Great experience and definitely recommend giving it a try.

Now I have been to the original Papa’s burgers on the west side and was so excited to see that they have another location here closer to where I live. I brought my friend who had never eaten here before and I promised him that this was indeed the BEST burger in San Antonio! And man I knew I was right but to have my best friend tell me I was right means that I know a good burger! Everything was absolutely superb! We both had the bacon cheeseburger combo and I had tater tots and he had onion rings. Have you ever eaten something so delicious that you can’t even talk because you’re too busy saying Mmmmmmmm? This was us while we ate!! We also also had excellent customer service and the nostalgic feel of the restaurant as well as the cleanliness made it easy to see why this place is definitely a great place for people to come to. The flow of people was steady and even throughout that the staff were cleaning tables and making sure areas were sanitized. I’m so glad to have them near my home and I will be back very soon!

I just tried Good News Burgers for the first time and it was mostly a great experience. The burger was huge (Jack Burton) and the bun… I fell in love with the bun. Buttery, toasty and just a little sweetness. By far the best bun I’ve ever had on a burger, anywhere. The bacon and the cheese on this burger was superb.

Simply the best burger around. I enjoyed the “Jack Burton” and my wife had the “El Caliente”. Once again I needed no condiments to enjoy it. Every time I come here the food seems to get better. If you live in San Antonio, you have to try it. If you’re not… well, pretty much the same.
