Very good food. Friendly staff and management. Great atmosphere. The building has been restored nicely. These newest owners have a good staff preparing food. I visit Brownsville infrequently and have visited this restaurant over the years when it was under different management. These owners appear to have brought a fresh attitude for success. I ate there twice. Once in the downstairs bar area on wings night. Very good wings that were reasonably priced. Small but decent selection of beer. No smoking was a huge plus. Dinner in the main dining room was very good. The décor and ambiance are great. The upstairs rooms have been finished nicely and offer a great setting for small private dinners. I wish them the best.

Once you walk into the restaurant you are just mesmerized by the beauty and thought put into it. The music and decor make the environment put you back into Victorian times. The service was great and our server was attentive. Between myself and my husband we thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers, our main courses, and the delicious desserts. This restaurant is definitely a ten! We will tell our family and friends about it. They must advertise so that they have more diners. We live within ten miles of Twelve Oaks and didn’t know that it was there. Such a great loss…please post in the newspapers, etc. so you are here to stay for a long time. We know that we will be back. Twelve Oaks is definitely a enjoyable and pleasant experience!

Twelve oaks is a really nice restaurant in a quaint old building. It has a great menu with some delicious classics like a French Dip and some interesting choices like white pizza grilled cheese. It’s a little pricey but not outrageous by any means. A perfect spot for a special occasion, drinks or just a really tasty meal with nice atmosphere.

We had a small family event here and the food and service was just amazing!! We had the garlic herb chicken, baked ziti and it was beyond delicious!! On the side was the absolute best mashed potatoes and gravy I have ever had!! Beautiful dining area, and a very cozy bar downstairs. It’s out of the way but so worth the time to find it!!

Quaint and fun. Had music downstairs but an awesome amount of character and decorations upstairs. The food was awesome and they had plenty of alcohol to keep us feeling great. Everyone felt like family here. Lots of history and life has happened within those walls. Always ask about the specials!

This is my favorite place to have a relaxing dinner and glass of wine. I feel that this is such a hidden gem. The owners have painstakingly restored this building to it’s original glory. I highly recommend checking out Carpet Baggers Tavern located in the lower floor of the mansion. Tom the bartender is just awesome.
