Leo’s was first opened in 1948 by the Mancieri family in the State St. section of Bristol, headed by Leo and Gina, along with their sond Reno and Mario. Leo’s remained open until 1976 when Leo passed away, but in 2000 Leo’s grandson, Paul Mancieri, relocated to 365 Hope St. in historic downtown Bristol, keeping the same Italian family recipes.

My family all met for dinner at Leo’s for a 5:00 pm meal. We couldn’t have asked for a better server. Andrew was a real professional. He mingled with us and my granddaughters. He shared with us and we did the same. Our meal was perfect , My Grandaughter wrote a special note to thank Andrew in her own words. I have to say, we were extremely satisfied with our service and the food! Thank you Andrew!

I’ve driven past this little restaurant many times and finally had time to stop. I only had a hamburger for lunch this time, but it was huge and cooked just right. It also came with fries. But there were more options for sides. My Bloody Mary was perfect and the service was friendly and prompt. I sat outside. It was very pleasant and I plan to go back with friends and try one of the other seafood or Italian offerings.

We ate here and the food was average. Ordered 2 orders of meatballs and they came out at room temperature and not warm. Ordered a salad and got an off taste. The pizza was very good. I would consider coming back but was a little concerned about the food temperature on the meatballs. They likely make them ahead and reheat but were not reheated enough.
