Nice little local owned spot in Grafton, you order at the counter and they bring it out with a smile. They have cod, shrimp, flounder, crab cake, chicken strips. several different side dishes. Nice decor but nothing fancy. The portion size on the card was very nice in filling along with the fries everything was hot and fresh. I would highly recommend you supporting these guys with your business.

Authentic fish and chips joint. Clean atmosphere, crispy batter (required malt vinegar and hot sauce for seasoning). My husband got the cod (2 pieces) I got the flounder. Both were good. I would rate 8 on a 10 scale. The Cole slaw was also flavorful and fresh. Not too mayonnaisey. The tartar sauce was also tasty. I would come again. Could have been more generous on the chips (fries) portion. I will try the onion rings next time.

My fish and shrimp meal was awesome! The fish of choice was haddock. I like my fish fried hard but the chef would not compromise the fish which is beautiful, only frying it as hard as they could/would. (I appreciate that greatly that as a chef they were not willing to jeopardize the integrity of the product). The fish was juicy and flavorful as well as fresh. The chips were good and the shrimp was good as well. Truly enjoyed the flavor! I would not ask them to fry the fish hard next time as it did not need it. I would definitely get it again and wish they were closer.

The chipper is the only fish and chip joint in the peninsula i know of. Bummed the portions were downsized a lot but what can ya do. Cod was meh, fries were good, tartar sauce seemed water down from the taste of it.

Finally visited this place and was first impressed with the hospitality! My date and I got the 2 pieces of cod plate with slaw and was really good! The fries were perfect also. Good little joint!

This was the best fish and chips I have tried. I have been to 2 different places and this was better. We did not spend a lot, it is a small place a group of 4 could be fine but not more. The ambience could have been better but people seemed to stop real quick and go I just like sitting and enjoying the food and moment. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t to go try their fish and chips because you will not regret it. My wife and I agreed that this was the number 1 place and we will keep going from time to time.

The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was cooked perfectly to order in a timely manner. Portions are huge so I would recommend eating your first plate then order more food.

I really love The Chipper and recommend most of their food, with a few exceptions. We have had their shrimp tacos multiple times on Taco Tuesday (great deal) and get the shrimp grilled. Love these tacos. I have gotten the codwich and cod basket (fish and chips). Their fries are not my favorite, but if you ask for them extra fried (double fried, extra crispy), it helps their texture. But it’s also hard for fries to travel well. I think the cod has been amazing each time I’ve had it. I’ve seen reviews complaining of no flavor, but I think maybe those people are used to dressed-up fish. Not sure. The fish tastes fresh and clean and the batter is generously applied without being greasy. Even getting it to go, it’s been delicious each time. I love it on its own, and as the Codwich it is also amazing and filling.

We were so excited to try this place for some authentic fish and chips – but we were disappointed. The chips were unseasoned (to be fair you can add vinegar if you’d like) and some were uncooked. A raw hunk of potato – not cool.

Was excited to try this place, and I really wanted to like it, but it just wasn’t very good. You definitely get a large portion of food for the price, but the quality isn’t great.
