Perfect spot for lunch, despite the smaller menu. The pollo asado was very flavorful and not too dry. The portion was good for the price and I enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa.

Horrible experience. No recomiendo, food was cold, service was really bad and slow we waited more than an hour for really cold and stale food. The server was really rude and spoke with bad attitude. Fries were so cold and didn’t even have a pinch of salt. More than an hour is what I waited for a burrito & fries. 0/5.

Pretty good! Only gave it four stars no fault of their own I guess or either they need to hire more servers. The place is just slammed. Food was great. Hard to get all of our service in a timely minute manner.

Drove an extra 15 minutes to this restaurant, due to their good reviews. The inside is extremely nice and well taken care of, however the food and service are far from a 4 star experience. Very skimpy portions and servers arent up to par. Hopefully was just a bad day for them (though slow) and not the typical experience.

I know this place has a lot of five stars no matter how much you spent on the decor it doesn’t speak for the food, warning signs when you go into a Mexican restaurant is if they have a taco salad or a burger on the menu, The food looks like slop on a plate presentation isn’t very good ….no matter how color for the plates got this place is an American Mexican joint don’t mistake it for traditional Mexican, I took two friends there and they agreed with my assessment but do you have to serve people what they will buy, Mexican food is very diverse from beef tongue tacos .. chilaquiles there are more delicacies I wasn’t born in the south I did my culinary birria mole I did my culinary training in Texas I’m from California I’ve been to Mexico City that place is pretty ..but that food is what they have to sell here I understand that ,I don’t wanna knock them down but this is not a traditional Mexican restaurant it’s in American Mexican restaurant.. when I mentioned it to the Chef ..I asked him really taco salad I haven’t made that since home cooking education in High School his reply was ,I have to make things that people will buy here do you understand ..and I do once you’ve had real Mexican food you’ll know what I mean I like the outside seating ..oh and one more thing putting guacamole on a cheeseburger doesn’t make it a California burger…And I guess they sell what they have to?

Ok it was during lunch and they were packed. Staff was very nice and friendly. Took about 30 minutes to sit our party of 6. They finally took our order and it came out in phases .. 3 plates then 3 more – but one plate was incomplete and one was not brought out. I had to ask for it and it was wrong.

El Jimador is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Columbia. The individuals who work here are some of the kindest, hard-working people around. They are always there to greet you with a smile and they truly care about your experience. I always leave here with a smile on my face! The drinks here are always delicious and the food and the portions are perfect. El Jimador is my friends and I’s go to place for dinner any night of the week!
