Food of CT
We had always heard that House of Naan had some of the best Indian food in New Haven, and now that we’ve had the chance to try it for ourselves, we definitely have to agree! It’s definitely in the top 5 Indian restaurants we’ve tried in the state as well. No frills, with all of the classics you could want on the menu, prepared authentically and tasting delicious. I really loved the naan basket especially! All of the food came out quickly and was just so good. I would absolutely come back again the next time I’m craving Indian food!

The ambiance is quite nice, but the service was OK. The food was a little disappointing considering we heard very good things before we actually tried it. The malai kofta was very very heavy, and didn’t seem very fresh. The naan was a little undercooked…

Got seated right away. Chairs are not comfortable especially if you’re average adult size. Food was nice and hot, rice portion was on the smaller size for the serving of meat. Naan was great but the sweet (coconut and raisin) Naan had no raisins. Waiter was pleasant but that was about it. No dedicated parking lot so be prepared to circle the block to find a spot on the street.

Delicious food and great staff! Sat at the bar and really enjoyed the lamb rogan josh and a variety of naan. As someone who is not very familiar with the cuisine, the bartender was super helpful if finding the right dish. Would definitely go again

Food was great. Service was attentive and gave great recommendations. Would recommend. It’s a small inside dining space, but the tables for two are adequate.

Ordered garlic naan and paneer tikka to go, but when I got my food, my naan was burnt and my paneer was cold and hard. Some sides of the paneer was doused with turmeric and pepper- it obviously wasn’t cooked fully. Not worth it in my opinion

One of the best places to relish Indian food in New Haven. The Paneer Tikka Fries are delicious and mouth watering, must try item on their menu. The Naans were soft and fresh. I got my food customised, Chana Masala, Thanks to the server Mr. K, who helped me with my order. However, more customisable options would be appreciated.

Good ambience but terrible food. I’m an Indian and never had biryani full of turmeric .Malai kofta was harder than potatoes. Lastly, they play with quantities of appetizers. Not worth your money and time. It is simply show off due to ambience. I do not recommend this place for money they charge. Pls avoid.
