My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. She had the fish tacos plate, I had a Texan burrito, and we shared a carne asada taco. The food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. Also, the hot sauce was very good and they had several options at the salsa bar! I was also glad to see the cleanliness! We will definitely be regulars.

Stopped in for lunch. The staff was very nice and helpful. The place was very clean. We had the shredded Beef taco and cheese enchilada plate. Also had the chicken tostada. We will return to try more of the menu.

This place started off great and has quickly gone down hill. To go orders are always wrong. This time instead of the extra cheese I paid for there’s no cheese. The wait at the drive thru takes way too long. They give you half full containers of red hot sauce “ when they even have it” I’m from San Diego and this isn’t even close. The food is poorly made and up together. This will be our last time. 24 dollars for two people and they can’t even get your order right. Don’t ever order extra you won’t get it.

I live 7 minutes from Valerie’s Taco Shop, so everyday for the last 4 months I couldn’t wait for the opening. Unfortunately, my excitement turned to disappointment. I will say, the customer service was top notch, however everything else was sub par. The guacamole was bland and tasted like it was more like a paste out of a jar vs. Freshly made. The Elote was super salty, the Fish Tacos were under cooked. I so wanted it to be great due to the proximity of my home. On a positive note, the Queso and chips were actually pretty good. My overall experience was 2 Stars, at best:(

Always good food here. The chimichonker is so massive it’s easily two meals. The staff are attentive and helpful. The shredded chicken is alright but sometimes it’s a bit tough to chew. But overall I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always great Mexican food. I would say it’s the closest to SoCal Mexican food I’ve had in this area.

My friend was super excited that we have a Valerie’s Taco in McKinney. She is from California and said they are the best. I too am from California and this is not like any of the delicious taco shops in California. I ordered the fried fish taco. The taco was just okay. The fish tasted old almost like it was reheated instead of fried fresh. I see no reason to go back.

Southern California transplant here and I’ve been looking for Mexican food here that is what I like. This place has been recommended on the McKinney Facebook by several people for being a California type food place. It was good food, I got rolled tacos (taquitos) and chips they were delicious. They have me sour cream for free which was nice. My husband likes his Al Pastor burrito. I’ll be back I’m sure. My sons fiancée is a vegetarian and had the potato taco… then have a couple good veggie options.

The flavor is good and the portion is somehow big for a taco. Each taco could be split in 2.
