The take out food taste was a cut above the other Chinese take outs around the area. The fried rice and Singapore rice noodles were soggy and it would be great if the rice and noodles were dried off in the freezer before recooking. Otherwise the food tastes were great. We ordered the family meal . Order the four entrees, add a side of noodles or fried rice instead of choosing them as entree dished. Family menu with 4 entrees (($29.99) with a side of fried rice was sufficient to feed 5 or 6 person . Food rated at 4.0, service rated at 4.1.

Good food, bad management decisions. Customer for three years on and off. No longer coming back. They ask you to bring back the food you’re not satisfied with. During COVID. told them we were sick, they wouldn’t budge. Hope you see them wash or disinfect the counter. Don’t breathe too deep in there.

I dropped a star due to limited parking in this area. This restaurant is located behind Seton Hall University on Irvington Avenue, across from Blue Ocean Chinese (which isn’t worth visiting). I have been coming to Tung Tin since the late 90s when I was a student at SHU. I have seen the inspector come in and inspect the kitchen, so I am confident of their food practices and cleanliness. This is my go to place for Chinese, they are fast and their food is fresh. I’ve never had a bad food experience and they’ve never appeared annoyed with me or any customer. Will continue to come here as long as I desire Chinese.
