It smelled like fish when i walked in. Decided not to go with seafood. My Prime Rib was superb. I had mushrooms & risotto. Mushrooms were great, Risotto, not so much. It took a while to get some service. Luckily, they serve a basket of delicious bread! The price is a little too high for some items on the menu. Some ambient music would be nice I can’t recall hearing any.

This is one of the best steak houses in Kansas City! Steaks, prime rib, everything is delicious. Negative is service is slow, don’t sit at the bar it is super slow and if you are a female the barmaid will not give you the same attention as males. Too bad I tip great!

Kellee was our server and she was fantastic. Extremely pleasant, and was on top of taking care of us. Unfortunately they cooked my steak wrong, and also my husband’s. They overcooked my filet, and it was too tough to eat. She had recommended the Oscar style for my filet and it was not good at all. It was too tangy and the crab meat smell overwhelmed the entire dish. I asked for the sauce on the side as I was afraid it would not be good and I could still eat the steak, but they didn’t make it how I wanted. I got a very well done steak with sauce drowning it. I would definitely not order this dish again. My husband’s was extremely rare and he does not like it like that. The bread she brought out was good, and I liked the bisque. My son’s steak was perfect, so he had no complaints. They gave us 2 desserts since they messed our order up. They were definitely unique. The chocolate “bag” was made of dark chocolate and everything on that plate was edible. The “creme brulee” wasn’t a typical creme brulee, it was soft and no torched sugar. It was almost a pudding. I would come back to try this place again, and hopefully they don’t overcook my steak again. The filet is too expensive of a cut to be over cooking.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Journey Steakhouse. It is at the Argosy Casino. The food options at Argosy have never really excited me, BUT we had never tried this restaurant. We had some food offers from the casino, so we figured we would give it a try. We really enjoyed our meal. The porterhouse was amazing. I asked for some steak sauce with it, but didn’t end up needing it because the steak had so much flavor. Our waitress was fantastic! If you are around the casino, give it a try!

Casual fine dining. Small menu but good choices. The scallops were a little fishy but good. The prime rib was much more impressive than the ribeye but both were cooked well. The crab cakes were delightful.

Crab cakes are my GO TO, but the spinach salad with bacon dressing pretty tasty. Not our first time here, but they have changed menu and seafood pasta was disappointing

Not the best meal I’ve ever had. My husband had the lobster tail. It was extremely small and cold. I had pork chop with loaded baked potato. The pork chop was overcooked, dry and cold as was my potato. It’s really sad when the best thing we had was the salad! Also, my husband got very ill after dinner. Great way to celebrate our anniversary.

Both meals were over cooked. Salmon and pork chops. This place used to have amazing food. Even the asparagus was not cooked correctly. I was very sad as I used to love coming here. Maybe just a bad night?
