It’s been 15 years since eating at Joeys (used to be Mario’s). So happy to come back into town and find they are still open. I was so excited to get their sub that I forgot to take a photo of the sandwich. Ordered the turkey and cheese sub with the works, including their special oil and vinegar sauce. Loads of turkey and their sauce just puts a smile on my face. This is what a great sub sandwich is supposed to be.

I cannot believe the audacity of this Restaurant… was never too much of a fan of how everyone is nickel and dimed to death nowadays but this one takes the cake… the offer a 2 dog special with fries for $5.50 or a single dog and fries for $3.00….. so here’s the special part these a……s do… they charge you .50 for the container the special comes in…. they just lost a customer and I hope this review continues to hurt them more… really $.50 for the container the food comes in…. that’s just unprofessional and cheap… if they’re cheap about this what else are they cheap on?????

As a customer who has been going here since it was Mario’s deli. I’m very disappointed in the quality of the product. Meats used to be fresh sliced daily. Not it seem like it’s thawed and warmed up. The corned beef (same thing iv gotten for 15+ years) is not the same. Amd the quality and taste of the meat had definitely declined. Sadly this may be my last time there. It’s sad to see a bensenville staple crumble.

Ordered online and a kind woman called to inform me that a couple items were not available but she gave me other options. I really appreciate that type of quality customer service. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of ingredients and the flavor. I would recommend to others.

First time being there. Some basics answers first,, they open normally at 9 am and they take credit cards. Anyway, sandwiches were great! I got a Meatball Sub and Cuban. I will definitely be back to try out the other food! A good price too. The Sandwiches have some weight to them!

I have been coming to Mario’s for 5 years now and have never had a bad experience. The owners are great, friendly people to talk to and love the fact that they remember me by name and know my order by heart! Everything is always fresh and you can tell its made in-house. The sub’s are huge and you get a lot for your money. If I lived closer to town I would eat here every day!! Delicious, delicious food!! 🙂

Is it a great submarine place? Yes, absolutely. Does the facility inside need to be updated? Yes, absolutely, hasn’t changed in 20 years. Are they relatively expensive submarine sandwiches? Yes, absolutely. But it’s high quality, for a high price. Not my 100% go lunch place due to the pricing, but it’s a great spot on occasion. The Joey sub is great. The owners are friendly and remembers who the regulars are, the establishment is a staple in the bensenville/wood dale location. I wouldn’t want to see it close again.

I love this place for lunch during the week at work. Super affordable, better than Ozzie’s, and a lot more options. They’ve got all kinds of pasta salads and potato salad, like 6 homemade soups everyday and great sandwiches. Their chicken noodle and vegetable soups are my favorite. I love that they have a hot and mild giardiniera option, bc I love it but I don’t like too spicy. Customer service here is top notch, and they even deliver. They are a family owned deli and everyone here is super nice. I recommend calling ahead to place your order, or you may have to wait a few minutes for it to be ready. They are very accommodating for my super specific order. I definitely recommend stopping in.

My Favorite Sub Place!! I try a lot of sub places, but Mario’s is, hands down, my favorite. Not only is the quality and taste of the sub amazing, but the value is great too. Their two sub sizes are 6″ and 10″, but it’s not like a Subway 6″. The sandwich is so thick and packed with meat and cheese that you’re probably getting more food from their 6″ than a Subway Foot long, and for about the same price. If you’re not into Subs, they also have some amazing pasta dishes too.
