We have been eating at Formosa since the 80’s, and are very happy they are open again for dine in. The food has always been great and we have never had a bad meal, we have tried several other restaurants and unfortunately they have never led to a second visit. The service has always been very good, they just had a recent remodel but unfortunately they did not remodel the bathrooms, that would be our only complaint. But the food and service makes up for the bathroom not being remodeled.

I ordered a late lunch from this place. The food looked good. It was fried rice and general Tso’s chicken. The chicken was too hot. The fried rice was not very freshly prepared. The food was decent, however, I feel that the portion size was less as compared to their price. You can check the picture – how small quantity it was. Otherwise, it was decent.

We have been trying to find good Chinese food since moving here in 2013. We found it. The best egg foo yung, crunchy sweet and sour chicken, and flavorful sample platter. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, tasty food, at reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Ok, so i have eaten at Formosa twice now. The first time about a year ago, and then again today. I ordered via GrubHub and went to pick up the food in store. After walking into the restaurant, I immediately was concerned. It had to have been a health hazard there. The place is absolutely filthy and torn up. Its almost like they were going through a renovation and just decided to stop. Fish tank was absolutely disgusting as well. Algae, and fish feces floated around the entire tank. Oh well, I decided to try the food anyway having already purchased it. I got the chicken lo mein, egg drop soup, and an egg roll. Egg roll was the only DECENT thing. Egg drop soup had the weirdest consistency and texture I have ever seen and was almost flavorless. Lo mein was sitting in a slimy, greasy sauce and the chicken was almost like it was the scraps when trimming up chicken breast. Grisly in texture and overall not that pleasant to eat. I was disappointed because I actually liked this place the first time I had it. Unfortunately it has gone down hill. If your considering eating here, I would consider other options.

Won’t be ordering from Formosa again. Egg roll was good, but the orange chicken was absolutely filled with orange peel. I’m fine with zest, but this was just chunks of an entire orange peel. Chicken was cooked okay, but I ended up with about 5 too many bites into orange peel even after picking through it. My wife said the chicken lo mein was okay.

Decent food, prices not the best and the portion sizes are pretty average. I’ve been a few times and I would not their food is always hot for takeout which is a plus. Noodles are not very tasteful, but the fried rice is good and there are a few dishes that excel, but mostly just average food. The crab rangoons here are delicious though which makes up most of the stars.

The absolute BEST Asian-American food restaurant in ALL of Northwest Arkansas. If you do not eat here, you are missing out on life itself. The cooks are amazing. The flavors are other-worldly. The customer service is impeccable. A 10/10 on my scale!!!
