When Momosan first opened up a few years ago in the Alohilani, we were big fans. Located right across the street from the beach and serving up delicious items like duck fat fries and kushiyaki skewers… It was quite good.

It’s a really good spot to eat in Waikiki. Enjoyed the outdoor seating, the service was friendly and the food and drinks were good. I especially loved the Yellowtail Poke Bowl. So delicious, and the Tokyo Blue cocktail is definitely worth trying too!

Overall it was a pleasant dining experience. In terms of food, my favorite was the ribs since it was very tender, crispy and came with good chunks of meat. We also ordered tonkotsu ramen which was a bit saltier than average, as well as salmon poke bowl which was also very salty due to the sauce (if you are on a low sodium diet you could ask them to put sauce on the side). Yet I liked how they put nice portion of fish and avocado. In terms of service, our host was kind and the waitress was attentive. In terms of value, I think it’s on a pricier side but due to location and ambience it’s understandable. Overall I think I can recommend this restaurant, but just know that you won’t be impressed by their food.

The tonkotsu ramen broth was perfectly balanced. The egg was cooked perfectly. I thought the charsiu was a little thin at first glance. The texture was amazing along with the taste. One of the best ramen bowls I’ve had. The portion was good and I could have had another bowl.

Decent experience. I expected more for a store associate it with iron chef Morimoto. Ramen was too rich and too porky in flavor if that is believable. Salmon poke bowl lacked flavor and was salty. Overall experience was ok, average for food taste and flavor. Nothing great. Special iced teas were delicious and added a little fresh flavor to the drink.

We are absolute ramen fanatics from NY and this was 10 stars. I can’t say enough about how good the food was. The deep flavor, ramen cooked to perfection, complex flavors of the fried chicken. **chefs kiss** Everyone loved their dishes. We will definitely be returning before we go back home.

Outside seating is spacious and welcoming. We were seated right away, we arrived around 7pm in the evening. I got the tonkotsu ramen and shirley temple. My sibling got a tsukemen and a Tokyo blue. Portions are good and filling. Reasonable prices and great customer service. Service was also very fast. It was about a 10 minute wait for our meals. Would definitely come again!

Nice dining experience with outdoor seating surrounded by lush planters and large umbrellas. A nice place to stay out of the tropical sun of Waikiki. Having a cold beer helps also – they have a frozen beer version of the Japanese beer which is the normal beer with frozen foamy top. It’s nice but I’m good with the normal cold Kirin beer. It’s a ramen shop by the Japanese Iron Chef Morimoto, and it’s chain that has branches in a few cities including Seattle. Both the ramen and fish, avocado donburi were nice and the portion is not huge so great for afternoon snack but not if you’re really hungry for dinner.
