Amazing authentic Mexican food. You will not get this quality of food and hospitality in Big Bear anywhere else! Great options on the menu, El Jefe had amazing sauce which paired well with the bacon and potatoes. Excellent, attentive, and very quick service. Would recommend for any occasion!

Greeted warmly when I first came in the door and the hospitality was fantastic. The owner (fantastic chef) in his son (server, greeter) couldn’t have been more hospitable. The food was fantastic! I had the chilaquiles/eggs over medium with green sauce and they were fantastic. They’re homemade spicy salsa is wonderful as well. Highly recommended!

What made this 4 start worth was the waiter Definitely not LA Mexican food – Food was just ok maybe because it didn’t taste fresh kinda like left overs. The waiter is what really stood out to me he was very kind and helpful – you can see him multi tasking pretty much running that whole restaurant solo minus the cooking . I would give them another chance since we did go on a Monday when it was slow. Will come back with an update on our second visit

Let me start by saying I’ve lived in Mexico and eaten authentic Mexican food. I had the most authentic Mexican food at El Rincon I’ve eaten outside of Mexico. It wasn’t Tex-Mex. I ordered the chilaquiles with mole and added chorizo to it. The mole was fantastic – dark but not bitter. The chorizo was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of spice, and not dripping with grease. I asked for eggs sunny side up – they were spot on. So rare that people know how to cook eggs correctly. Ordered a pancake on the side and even that was amazing! I didn’t even need any syrup for it. It was a little sweet, fluffy on the inside, and crispy on the bottom and edges. The bottom line is El Rincon is a fantastic place for breakfast, or any meal. Plus the service was great. The servers were attentive and polite. Great experience all around! We visit Big Bear every year and we’ll definitely be back to El Rincon for dinner next time.

Can’t say enough about this GREAT place!!! Had breakfast burrito’s to go before, and they were delicious, but hadn’t had the chance to dine in, until today!! Boy am I glad we did!! I love menudo. Have eaten it since I was a kid, so when I say they have the BEST menudo I’ve ever tasted, it means something!!! I’m a girl who is VERY serious about her menudo!! So very tasty and seasoned just right!! They even accommodated the fact that I prefer hominy over the meat! They were so friendly! The service was great, food came out fast and the price was perfect!! Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his huevos rancheros and as we were leaving another table had just gotten their food and it looked incredible too!!! 100% will be back there every time I am in Big Bear!!!! ❤️

Food was amazing. Some of the best chilaquiles I have had. The Papa de Casa were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

This place is GREAT! This is our second visit to Big Bear and El Rincon is by far the best food we’ve had up here. I got the pozole which was delicious, comforting and flavorful with generous chunks of beef. My husband got chilaquiles with carne asada which was also yummy. My kids got the carne asada quesadilla and pancakes. I gobbled up everything too quickly to snap any pics! HIGHLY recommended. The staff was super friendly and patient with our three kids! Tempted to go back again tomorrow for more pozole!!!

Sooo delicious and the staff is so sweet and kind. The food is authentic and the portions are perfect. The carne en su jugo was full of flavor and the meat was tender. The horchata was one of the best I have ever had. I definitely recommend this place!
