This review is of the Pizza Shop of Ware Big Y only. I’ve provided a separate review of Big Y as a store. This has no reflection on the store’s deli, or other food service at this location. I couldn’t leave a review on the Pizza review section for some reason, so I figured I’d leave it here, seeing as you can only leave one review per store department. I have trusted this Pizza Shop several times & have been left extremely disappointed. The prices are great, but not worth the mistakes & stress, especially during special occasions. My two biggest complaints are pretty major mishaps. Just recently, we ordered a party sized pizza for my daughter’s 6th birthday party & asked for half with only cheese, the other half was to be with pepperoni, hamburger & onion. I had a family member pick up the pizza, and when I opened the box, saw that they had given half just cheese as requested, but the other half had pepperoni, hamburger & OLIVE. Nobody at the party liked black olives, so this was very upsetting, especially because of the amount they put on! It was covered in them! I had ordered at 8:30am on Sunday (March 19th 2022) & asked for the order to be ready for pick up at 1:45pm. The male employee was courteous over the phone & did repeat the order back to me correctly, yet it was still made wrong. Another time, we requested a party sized pizza with half cheese only, half combo & they made the entire pizza combination! Another big mistake, and my children won’t eat any toppings, plus it was too much to pick off. That is why I always order one half with only cheese. That time I did call to complain, but due to Covid, they refused to take back the pizza, even though nobody touched it. They did offer to make another, but being a party sized pizza, it took a long time & really put a damper on the occasion. Plus we were then stuck with 2 party sized pizzas, which was way too much food. We also live out of town, so it was a real inconvenience to have someone leave the party to go pick up another pizza, which wasn’t even ready when they said it would be! I refuse to order from their Pizza Shop again. This has happened way too many times. I didn’t bother calling to tell them about the olive mistake, because I already knew from the last experience that they wouldn’t take it back, then we’d have to again wait for another to be made, and make a guest leave the party to go get it. I can see a mistake every once in awhile, but almost every single time? Please do better, Big Y. It’s a shame that from now on, I’ll have to order from a local pizza parlor instead & pay much more, but it’ll be worth it to have my order made correctly! I don’t know if employees don’t write orders down, but they really should! And if they do, please explain how this happens so often? We usually like the taste of the pizza as well, but this most recent time, it was very dry with minimal sauce, overcooked & hard as a rock. Not appetizing at all. My oldest daughter said it tasted like reheated frozen pizza! I ended up eating soup instead & judging by what we had leftover, our guests weren’t very impressed either! I’ll continue to shop at Big Y, but I’ll pass on the Pizza Shop!

Wash your own carts if you come to the big y in ware because the guy outside washing the carts around 9:00 in the morning is being lazy about it and doing a 5 sec job!!!!
