We had the catfish plate with fried okra and coleslaw. Also, the liver and onions with okra and Mac and cheese. With a side order of loaded fries and calf fries. Everything was very good and our waitress, Kim, was fantastic. She checked on us numerous times, which added to our experience along with handling the bar and other tables. I liked the regular catfish better than the spicy one. The liver and onions were very tender. The calf fries were tender, not the best we have had, but they were still good.

Each time we’ve been to Hobo Joe’s, we’ve had the best experiences. Staff is always so kind and welcoming. This is a perfect place for a date night or even just a get together with friends. We love the new GM, Tiffany. Always welcomes us with a smile and makes it her mission to come by our table to say hi! And our friend Ebony helped us last time we were in and made us feel like family. I definitely recommend going in the next time y’all are looking for a good time!

Stand alone restaurant with adequate parking. Fairly new restaurant but is showing the signs of neglect. We were greeted by a very political cutout in the entryway. I don’t care what your political stance is but I came to eat, not vote or talk politics. We almost left at that point. Should have… The staff was hopelessly overworked. The menu is widely varied but at the same time very limited. We had a hard time selecting. The spicy catfish was very soggy. Hobo classic Hamburger was bland and unremarkable. French fries were not the worst I’ve had, but close. The prices were on the high side for good food but for the very lackluster meals we were served. it was very very high. Given the vast selection of restaurants to choose from, why would you go here? Highly recommend you skip this one and go anywhere else.

We tried the location in Denison TX tonight for the first time and Drinks were great. Food was great. Service was excellent! Our server Kambria was amazing she checked on us and made sure our food & Drinks were great. We haven’t had service like that in so long and I appreciated it so much♥️

They are exceptional people. I have been there quite a few times. This visit was really something else. I ordered to go and at the time our food was ready there internet went down and the young woman that had taken our order informed me she could not take my card because she had no way of charging on it. I had no cash on me but was going to go to an ATM to get some when she said don’t worry about it. Take this and you and your husband have a nice dinner and enjoy your evening. I will always recommend them to people because their food is great. But their service and employees are exceptional.

We didn’t know what to expect when we came. My SO is a musician and several people have mentioned it so we figured we would go try it out! Wow! So, so good. We had spicy cheese curds for an appetizer and that is highly recommended. I had the Joe pizza and it was delightful. SO had the chicken parm and said it was great—loved that the pasta wasn’t spaghetti or angel hair. The walls are made to be written on and chalk is provided so have fun! We’ll be back.
