Wonderful little whiskey bar. Sort of a reduced menu, there was some problem with an incorrect old menu on the web and they had a whole lot less selection. Service was fast and friendly with lots of excellent advice. When we ask for a few extras they were cheerfully and promptly provided. Couldn’t ask for service. The food was mostly quite good but the nachos are what fell a little short. A fairly adequate but not generous helping of pulled pork on them and the standard basic cheese sauce which was kind of bland while the chips were very thin for our taste/preferences. For sure we would try them again if we are in the area.

I had some time to waste near Barnes-Jewish hospital and came here for lunch. I had to try the candied bacon and the Filet Mignon sliders were calling my name. In an effort to be semi-healthy I got the Cole slaw too.

The number of problems with this place is too long to list. Hardly any meat, and this is supposed to be a BBQ place? BBQ nachos were stale, cheese was cold and tasteless. The only vodka they have is TIto’s. Looks up market from the outside, but inside it’s a real dump. I understand this place used to be much better with a bigger menu, but it’s limping along now. With so many great BBQ choices in St. Louis, don’t waste your time here.

Really cool place to go if you find yourself in Central West End. Affordable drinks and a whole repertoire of whiskeys spanning the whole spectrum. The food is also quite well made and the staff is full of a great deal of character that truly livens the place up.

The owner of this business is one of the most hypocritical people I have ever met. My wife worked there and we lived in one of properties. He was a slum Lord. I was threatened and attacked by his property management 2 different people. I also worked at his restaurant to help my wife and to assist in her workload because she worked 6 days a week. He not only locked us out of our home. But stole my wife’s last paycheck. While working there the place was filthy. Mold in the basement. Grease trap backed up. The food was horrible. Always returned half eaten. Unless you drank his over priced whisky to the point it was good. But so is taco bell when your that drunk. I don’t see it lasting much longer with this kind of unethical and imoral ethics. My wife tried to collect her money with no response back. And I had been hospitalized by his property management attacks so she was scared to persue the issue since he has a lot of power. Just have felt like a victim to long and figure I would do something to voice my concerns of spending money and supporting this kind of behavior.

At first take I was not impressed. Even though it was slow, it took a few minutes to be acknowledged seated at the bar. Although when I was I was taken care of promptly, but…when I asked about menus the bartender pointed me to “grab on from the box, I don’t have any back here”. Somewhat lazy, but most are college students or in internships… I’ll allow it lol.
