If I could give this store zero stars, I would. I believe this Airline Highway location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe scams customers out of their rewards. The manager at this location has really horrible customer service skills and no business sense. Every time I try to redeem a reward or promotional at this store, they have computer issues. I just tried to redeem the Fan Fest for a free smoothie with a food purchase. The QR code couldn’t be scanned even though I paid for the food purchase (Thai Chicken Salad). The manager kept me waiting for 20 minutes while she was supposedly on the phone with tech support instead of just giving me the free smoothie. Then she came back and said because I placed the order on the app, she can’t give me a refund and redo the order to enable me to get the free smoothie. The Thai Chicken Salad was proof that I’d made a purchase. I asked the manager if it was worth losing a customer over a free smoothie when you throw away smoothies that are made incorrectly. She said do what you have to do. She lacks good business sense and has no customer service skills. She wouldn’t give me the free smoothie from my rewards and the promotional ad. She didn’t even offer me a coupon for discounted food. She’s a liability to this business. I exited the store but then decided to go back inside the store. I asked politely for the owner’s information. The manager heard my request but walked away and wouldn’t answer. One of the staff members gave me the owner’s card. Who knows if the owner will call? I wasn’t valued as a customer and for this reason, I won’t return to the Airline Highway Tropical Smoothie Cafe location.

I really like the concept and I really want to like this place overall but my 2 experiences haven’t been so great, at least with the food. Both the flatbread and wrap were drowned in sauce with very little chicken on them, basically just bread, lettuce and sauce. I wish there a way to modify that when ordering ahead.

The smoothies are very good, but the service is horrible, it takes forever to get your smoothie. I can understand if it’s a lot of people but two cars. It takes forever, not sure if it’s not enough people working but I waited about 8 minutes to place my order and another ten if not longer waiting on the smoothie. Hopefully things get better.

Tropical Cafe is always on point. I’ve been to 3 different locations in Louisiana, and all of them have been consistent. My go to Smoothie is the triple berry oat smoothie. My go-to sandwiches are the Chipotle chicken and Chicken Pesto flatbread, but that peanut butter banana crunch flatbread is the ultimate guiltless sweet tooth treat! Tropical Cafe doesn’t miss!

Today was my first visit to this location (I have visited the Lafayette location several times and loved it every time) this was not an good experience. I had 2 orders 1 was the smoothie &wrap combo w/brown sugar sweet potatoes as a side. The smoothie was great the wrap not so much,the wrap had a lot of hard pieces of lettuce it and I received the wrong side item(they gave me chips instead of my sweet potatoes) when I gave the chips back and said I had sweet potatoes the cashier said let me check your order slammed the window and then open the window and said yeah you’re right they will be out in a minute and slammed the window again. I waited a minute or so and he gave me my sweet potatoes and closed the window again. I had to get his attention to ask for my 2nd order once I asked about my 2nd order he rolled his eyes and slammed the window again. Talked to his coworkers for a couple minutes and then gave me my order (I had to ask for forks to eat my sweet potatoes with and ask for napkins). Poor customer service in the drive thru maybe it will be better if I went inside to order next time,if there is an next time.
