I liked the food here. It’s a beautiful and charming restaurant. I would definitely recommend trying this place at least once. To add to the charm, a tiny red fiat sits outside.

Lemon ricotta spinach dish was entirely butter, there wasn’t salt. All of the dishes were not salted. The fried chicken dish also was poorly seasoned. The cocktails were okay but a little pricey for what they are. Service and ambiance are top tier and with a 1.5 million dollar renovation, you can tell they didn’t put any thought into the cooks.

I enjoyed dinner with my wife at Piatti on a recent evening. We individually ordered pasta Bolognese. My wife had a glass of wine (nothing particularly notable). The food was good. So was the wine. In the end, with a modest tip, our bill came to $92.73!

Friendly and attentive staff. Food was tasty but the portions were tiny for the price. $30 for ravioli and the dish had maybe eight. Most egregious was the $15 mixed cocktail that was around 4 oz. in a mini coupe glass. I’d eat there again but save drink $$$ for somewhere else.

The best points for me were staff friendliness and food presentation. But unfortunately, this didn’t make up for the lack of flavor in the food. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars, but I’ve listed my conclusion and points below!

Piatti is an Italian restaurant inside of U Village. It’s quite large inside with dozens of tables and a bar area. It’s usually pretty busy in here as it’s one of the higher end restaurants inside of U Village. They have a shorter menu to choose from, sticking to a few pizzas, a few pastas, and a few entrées. Their portion sizes are pretty small and their prices are high for what you get, however the taste is pretty good. This is more of a date night spot than a place to regularly eat. The staff are very nice here, parking is impossible to find in U Village, and you’ll probably want to make a reservation ahead of time so you’re not waiting and/or turned away at the door.

This place is decent, and in a great location. This could have been a fluke, but I got the rabbit papardelle, and it was oddly bland. The sauce was very thin, with little flavor. Even the photo makes it look bad (seriously, look at the attached photo of the pasta dish and tell me what you think.) The bread and dipping sauce are amazing, and you can snag a bottle of it for the road too. Cesar salads come with anchovies which I think is a nice touch.

Solid Italian restaurant in the U village. Nice patio dining. Food is consistently good for Americanized Italian. Their version of Aperol Spritz is something to try on a hot summer afternoon.

Recently visited for the re-opening of Piatti. Had a great time! The food was great, the place was wonderful, and service was spot on. My only suggestion would be that the food portions could be larger, but maybe that’s just me. Otherwise, looking forward to coming back

Absolutely disappointing. Charged $23 for this and then such poor quality, the picture speaks for itself: this is supposed to be pasta but I felt I was fed a soup by the chef. I was too polite to return it but regret it now in hindsight..
