Carl Musso never started with a grand plan, in fact, what he had was a sausage recipe from our ancestors in Lucca, Sicily. He wanted to share the amazing tasteful sausage with the Pueblo County area, so he opened Musso’s Restaurant in 1991. He never expected it to become what it has become today. Carl passed on the family business to his only daughter, Lisa Musso. The restaurant has been feeding regulars and getting new customers every day for over 20 years now! Our secret? It’s not one, admittedly. Our special ingredients are a big part. An unrelenting love for sausage is another big part. Between the two, we believe we have our sausage bases covered.

Friendly and attentive staff, quick service, clean restaurant. Comfortable and quiet. I had the Sicilian slopper and it was fantastic. Nice small market selection of good as well.

First time there had to get the “Fuggedaboudit” sandwich, I got the full, yikes.. Spicy green chilies on top of a spicy sicilian sausage patty.. Enough spice to let you know your alive without dreading the after effects.. 10/10 got the tots on the side, crispy just as they should be. Will be worth the 60 mile drive to go back and try something different.

Service was top notch. Food was awesome. Pop said his HeuvoRancheros were great and a bit spicy. My house specialty biscuits and gravey were perfect for a mid morning large breakfast. The gravey had Sicilian sausage and coveted an egg or two on the fluffy fresh homemade biscuits. Plus a little cheese… I didn’t even bother to add salt and pepper!

The green chili reminds me of what mama used to make. Made with local Pueblo Chilis. I do t know what more you can ask for. Had the slopper today. Open faced hamburger smothered in chili. Put me in a food coma it was so good. Friendly staff, local small diner feel where everyone knows everyone. Worth the trip if you’re not local.

An amazing experience, all the way around! The food, how fresh the ingredients were, the customer service… just everything! Really great people that work there as well. We live in the springs, but will be taking another trip out there soon, for another experience. We had the “forget about it,” highly recommended.

Best sausage sandwich in Pueblo! The waitress was great! They had chicken fried steak as the special and it was homemade and a huge portion!

I’m from Chicago and my idea of what an Italian beef sandwich should actually taste like is a lot different than what this place has to offer. I’m used to a hefty serving of well sliced meat but this sandwich just had two little slivers. It was literally like someone went to the deli at Walmart and made me a sandwich. Our waitress was okay, her energy was a little low but not a big deal. The atmosphere of the place was relaxed and clean which was the best part. The fries were undercooked too. Maybe the cook was just off this time but I won’t be going back
