In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Best thing from here were the fries. Well seasoned and personally I am a fan of crispy fries and the crispy texture in these were perfect. Dave’s sauce is not it. It has a strong and overpowering mayo taste. Chick that took my order and handed my food copped an attitude when I asked for ranch, just unnecessary. Best chicken! Extra Hot?? Yes please! I have to admit, I have never stepped into a Daves Hot Chicken location but I frequently DoorDash them. Their Extra Hot tenders with honey and their sauce is the way to go! The Mac and cheese is also amazing.

Ordered the number 2 with sliders and fries. Chose medium heat but could have handled one step above. Best eaten immediately hot. Best to have clean hands ready to tackle the grease, or plenty of napkins. Chicken itself was a good size and the flavor on the outside was very good. Not too dry on the inside either, again, best served hot. Coleslaw was good but would have wanted a bit more in the slider. Fries were alright with some spices on them that was a nice kick. The pickles were crunchy and nice to balance the chicken. The honey packet that is provided for the sliders works well on fries too.

Food is pretty good, I got the 2 slider with fries which is really good. I got lite-mild because I have acid reflux and it wasn’t too spicy which I enjoyed. The mac is pretty good and the Dave sauce is better than Cane’s sauce. The fries have good seasoning. I would recommend the sliders over the tenders, because the bimbo bread is not it.

I was curious to see so many customers waiting to buy and eat this food at the new fast food restaurant. The chicken sandwich I bought did not look appetizing at all, but the spiciness of it did gave a good flavor. Overall, I did like it. Not my cup of tea, but is good if you’re into spicy food.

Felt like I was eating a better version of KFC, chicken was juicy and tender, but the bread and the fries were both kind of soggy. House sauce was good with the fries, but I’m curious if there’s anything really special about the sauce? For me, it tasted just like the thousand island sauce we can get from anywhere. Kale slaw and Mac n cheese were okay. Overall, I liked the chicken but other than that nothing really stood out!

This is really good. Chicken is very good and you choose how “hot” you want the chicken. I love hot and spicy food, and can say that “hot” is spicy enough. ( there are two higher levels of “hot”. Ask for an extra “Daves sauce” because you’re gonna love it! Over all really good.

I asked for a slider tender combo, and what I get is two pieces of white bread with 2 tenders and some fries. They weren’t even about to give me any Dave’s sauce until I asked for some extra. They basically just stole my money since I got something worth less than what I paid for.
