7 Mares provides a nice Mexican meal in an unpretentious atmosphere. Dine in or take out. Either way the menu is the same. Chips have a good amount of salt that goes well with the salsa. Waitstaff friendly. Service fine and you can expect to wait a little for freshly prepared meals. On street parking and a ramp for wheelchair access.

First of all I couldn’t understand my server and she couldn’t understand me which was frustrating. We received complementary chips and salsa, the salsa was very good, but the chips were not. I got the Quesabirria taco dinner. I thought that since it was a dinner I would get beans or rice with it. I got 3 tacos. The tacos were VERY greasy and flavorless. I ate one because I was starving but didn’t eat the other two. My Boyfriend got the 7 mares soup, it was mostly liquid without much meat. The service was not good at all. 1) communication was bad we couldn’t understand each other. 2) After our food arrived we never saw the server again. She never ask how our food was or ask if we needed refills or anything else. 3) We had to get up and ask someone for boxes and the bill. 4) We received our boxes and still sat for a good 15 minutes and I went out to the car and told my boyfriend to deal with them since he can speak Spanish. I will never go back and I wouldn’t recommend. Luckily we were the only ones there other wise I doubt we could have found a parking spot. They only have street parking.

This place is hidden gem. I drive by it every day, so when we were trying to figure out what to do for dinner we decided to give it a try! It was 3 ladies- once cooking, one prepping, and one serving, and it was such a great atmosphere. The food was even more delicious, homemade tortillas, fresh salsa, we both had fajitas and they were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend checking this place out.

This place was suggested as a legit, Mexican style taco place on Reddit, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. I ordered the taco platter with three tacos: chorizo, lengua, and barbacoa. All three were excellent, but I’m being honest when I say that the lengua may be the best lengua I’ve had in town. Now, this comes does to personal preference. Some places serve chunks of lengua, and some serve smaller pieces. Some serve it boiled, and some pan fry it crispy. This place does it small, and crispy pan fried, which is my preference. The chorizo was good as well, but the barbacoa was like dinner at Grandma’s house.
