Big portions, good price. My favorite was the Greek salad very good and flavorful. The gyro meat tasted great but cut too thick on most pieces. Everything else was definitely lacking any flavor such as the tatziki sauce and spinakopita. They need a deep cleaning too at this restaurant. I probably would eat here again.

Charlie’s is a hidden gem. The service is great, but the prices can’t be beat! The variety of dishes on the menu guarantees that everybody in your group can find something they like. Food has always come out fast and hot. Just be advised the bar is not open on Sundays.

The Takeout Service was terrible, and the place wasn’t even busy. I ordered a Gyro Sandwich and an Appetizer. I honestly was astonished with how pathetic of an attempt the gyro sandwich was loaded a whole bunch of meat and tomato in a PIECE of a piece of a pita bread couldnt even use a whole piece gyro meat was bad as well, the finger foods were also saugey and cold.

Wow! Way more than we expected. Close to hotels and we were just passing thru but one of the best Greek meals we’ve had! And probably should have split the Specialty Plate it was so big. Great food and very economical. Almost makes me wish I did more cross country trips!

The last two times we went to Charlie’s, the service was horrible. The first time our server was no where to be found, didn’t come back with more coffee or bring our bill. The second time we didn’t receive any silverware, a guy from the kitchen had to bring it to us. Then another server brought jelly for our toast and our server finally came around 10 minutes after we were done eating with our bill. I’m very saddened by this because I loved going to this restaurant and the food is good, but I won’t be going back for awhile.

We have eaten here before and it was wonderful. This time quality had seemed to lag. I had a vegetable wrap, and I could not even taste the hummus. There were too many onions. We had ordered a hummus appetizer, and the hummus was very watery. I have never had hummus this thin. It also seemed to have no flavor, as if there was nothing added as far as spices, etc.

We were in a hurry and got our food quickly and the food was delicious. Dogs had that “snap” to them and the rings were perfectly cooked and a little crispy, just how I like them. Staff was very friendly too. It has an old school diner kind if feel to it and 2 people can eat for about $20.

We were just passing through Maumee and Googled breakfast restaurants and decided on this one. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good choice. One of us had the eggs Benedict and the English muffin couldn’t be cut with a knife. The other person in our party requested scrambled eggs soft (which they weren’t), with American cheese (came with cheddar cheese-unacceptable, bacon crisp (not) and toast dark (barely toasted). Our server apparently was also the hostess because while trying to serve us, she was greeting incoming customers. Won’t return.
