This restaurant probably has one of the best views of the harbor. The place is really run down. The plates and glasses were dirty. You could literally see the print of the previous guest lips on the glasses. We heard many other guests complaining about it. I don’t know if their dishwasher was broken or what was the problem. The forks, knives and the plates were dirty as well. Unfortunately seeing the dirty dishes took our appetite away. They had a few gluten-free dishes on the menu. The food was tasty but we were disgusted even after we wiped our forks and knives before we used them. Everything is really run down inside and outside of the restaurant. The owner really needs to spend some money on it. We read it online that they just had the grand opening and it is a happening place. I have to say it was a false advertisement. I hope they will renovate this place soon!

Bug in our food! Oh yes! Absolutely disgusting! We should have trusted our gut instincts when we walked in and there were only two couples dining! Place looked less than stellar but we were hungry! It all went downhill after that! The tableware & glassware were far from looking clean, ugh, bathroom-yikes! Our order was taken by a very pleasant young woman & was helpful describing the dishes. We ordered fried tomatoes as an appetizer (she had to check with the kitchen, didn’t know if they had tomatoes), two of us had the tres tacos & one one ordered the fish taco dish! Meal came & we asked for the rice that was supposed to be part of the dish, no rice, they forgot to make it that day! Well ok, no rice! But what we did get was a nice marinated cockroach in the fish taco dish! Absolutely disgusting! I voiced my displeasure to the kitchen & got a glimpse in – this place needs an inspection from the Board of Health! What else is running around in that restaurant, if you’ve got one cockroach, chances are you have an infestation!

First time in Maine . Found this place on Google after arriving late after 10pm. It was the only place open late. THANK YOU for being open. The wharf burger was the best burger I have had in over 6 months. It was so juicy and flavorful. Cheesy goodness . Highly recommend it! Staff was super friendly and it was DJ night after 11pm and the place was a blast ! I’ll be back !!

Stopped off Sunday evening after a visit to Gardens Aglow with my wife, sister, her family and our mother. Expectations were moderated by the season and day of the week. We were, however, pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food. The experience was delightful. Try the clam chowder…perfection! Crab cakes were so rich my teenage nephew was unable to finish them…and the lobsta’ mac was some of the best I’ve had. Worth a stop by.

Had to go back after a late night burger to see if all the food is that good, and it is! The salmon was perfect , wharf burger was the best burger in the state ! If I knew the view from the deck was so good I would have been back sooner instead of some of the other places we went. Best food in town and the manager Eric was the nicest person we spoke to in the week we were there. Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money on other places that were no where near as good but they had a good view! Advertise that view Eric and your place will be #1 in town! Thank you for being open late as well ! Great place DO NOT walk by this place !!

We stopped in for lunch right as they opened. It appeared they weren’t ready for guests yet and we felt a bit in the way and a bother. The food was okay but it took a while to come out. We had ordered some chowder as an appetizer, but it never arrived. The views were the best part, even though we ate inside.

Had the best dinner here that I have had in a long time. Excellent! Superb! I really can’t express how great the food was and the rest of the experience was great too. Waiter was attentive. The live music was nice and not too loud. The view of the harbor is excellent! All around great place for dinner.

This is the second time I have been there and still haven’t tried their food. Though tonight’s ordeal was the worst. We arrived their early so we could get to the boat parade in time. Ordered just a taco and salad , 45 minutes later no update. Finally I asked and the waitress said our ticket got lost. Meanwhile we look over at folks who sat after us and what are they eating A Taco . Right down to the warm water with no ice this plac by far my worst ever experience in Boothbay harbor. So many other places to choose from neither I or my friends will return.
