I’d heard about Ray’s in Canandaigua, but found when we got there, it was closed for the long holiday weekend. The sign on the door suggested we go to their other location, Roy’s which wasn’t far, so we went there. So very glad we did. The food was great, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was perfect! A nice casual, friendly place. The food was made well, came out promptly and was delicious. I had the Hand Pulled Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, my daughter had Faith’s California Benne (Eggs Benedict Special), and her fiancee had Dom’s Breakfast Quesadilla. The quality and quantity of food was so worth it! Heaven (our server) was attentive, friendly and efficient. If you’re looking for a family friendly place with great food and reasonable prices, I’d give Roy’s a try if I were you. I know I’ll be back.

So, Roy is the brother of Ray (as in Ray’s Restaurant in Canandaigua), so we thought we would check it out. First impressions it’s not as nice as Ray’s inside. Their menus are similar, but not identical. Our lunch turned out to be a hit and a miss. My better half’s Hot Turkey Sandwich tasted like the gravy came out of a can, and was very salty. The turkey looked like lunch meat, but tasted ok. However, I thought my Macy’s Omelet was quite good. There’s a full bar in the back of the restaurant.

Food is pretty good but you need a lot of time to go here. We went at 12:30p and they were 1/3 full maybe. It took awhile to get seated, then have someone get over to us, and it was 55 minutes before food came. I understand they might be short on staff to take orders etc but I didn’t expect to wait almost an hour for sandwiches. Positive though: food was properly crispy – the fries were airy but crunchy and you couldn’t see seasoning but they were delicious, and the bread on the roast beef sandwich was crispy with garlic butter and the perfect portion to completely fill up without leftovers. I’m glad I read the reviews to understand why they were wearing Ray’s shirts at Roy’s but it was confusing at first. GPS wanted us to only enter from route 96 and do a several block loop around the town but there’s another entrance as well to keep an eye out for.

Roy’s Restaurant in New York is an absolute treasure for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience that combines the best of Hawaiian and Asian-inspired cuisine. From the moment I stepped into this elegant establishment, I knew I was in for a treat that would linger in my memory for years to come.

Been here twice now for lunch. I really like their breakfast. I’ve also had the burgers and fries. Fries are delicious! I always order my burger medium, but seem to get well. Service is great. I was surprised that lemonade isn’t eligible for refills like soda and iced tea. Same with hot cocoa.

The staff are always so friendly and kind! The customer service is fantastic! The prices are excellent, the food is delicious, and we never have to wait long to be seated and get our orders! The cinnamon rolls are a decadent treat, and always pillow-soft; the icing adds just the right about of sweetness without being overwhelming. Over all, this is a fantastic, quiet, local spot to get a quick but incredibly satisfying meal!

We were here Saturday the 15th of April. Just out and about that day. Stopped in to eat, the food was excellent and our Waiter was awesome. I had the Brown Cobb Salad and my hubby had grilled cheese and Macaroni salad. Place was very clean and on the other side was a bar.

What a fabulous establishment! We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Canandaigua, and are so glad we did! Roy’s is a clean and inviting restaurant with a breakfast menu that is so extensive I needed extra time to decide. Our food; a strawberry shortcake waffle and an eggs, sausage and home fries meal were delicious! Equally wonderful was our warm and friendly server, Renee. Next time in the area we will be back for the food and hopefully a visit with Renee! I normally do not take pictures of my food but glad I did to share the deliciousness!

Been here a couple times for breakfast. Waited at the door to be seated far too long with only 4 tables seated & the wait staff talking it up in the kitchen for about 12 minutes before they came out to check on their tables, then discoved a line of about 9 other people waiting besides myself & my lady. Eggs tasted kind of funki, texture was reminiscent of eggs from a cooling chaffing dish & they were cool not hot, bacon was cooked but cold, potatoes were cool & seemed like they were sitting around for a bit. It was not busy table wise at all in the dining room. Probably will pass by the next time I’m out that way, & look for another diner or restaurant along that route.

This was my second visit here and it was a pleasant experience. The establishment is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good. You get a decent amount for what you pay.
